Hey there Purple People....She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed has issued the proper clearance.....I am looking for my flight to Ohio.  I am also looking forward to some very hot wings, a good IPA at Wings Warehouse, and some good 'jawing' with the Purple faithfull!  If I make it....the first round is on me!

Royals live and die by "smash mouth" football.  We have been living by it this year....and sometimes it aint pretty!  No matter, we're still in the ballgame!  If BU gets smashed in the mouth on Saturday, as it seems most expect...well, thats how Coach J wants BU to play.

By the way, since the MIAC gets no respect (except St. John's, who is home recruiting this year) you probably dont know and cant appreciate that Coach J is a class act!  If you get a chance to hear him speak.....dont miss it.  Coach J embodies what D-III stands for.....and, if you dont mind me saying so, what Faith means to the BU football program!

Go Royals!

Bethel, Class of '82 believes I might have to try and take you up on that invitation!  I missed the game last time we met.  She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed has given me the 'Green Light' this year!  I will start looking for my flight.

By the way, temps. down here in Tucson, Az....looks to be another sunny 78 degree day!  (Any chance of moving the game down here?)

Again--I invite all Bethel fans that make the trip to join a group of the UMU faithful-including HSCoach, Skunks Sidekick, Skunk, Theaprof, Mtfan, Hurfmuc, Seventiesraider, etc. starting at 8:00 pm Friday at Wing Warehouse--about 1.5 miles west of the football stadium on State Street.  It is very near the Alliance hotels--good wings, wide selection of beverages--including lots of non-alcoholic ones for those of you who choose not to imbibe.

We are a friendly crew and would love to get to know some of you.  PM me for more information.

I was at the Wheaton/Bethel game wearing my very Chic 55 gallon garbage bag rain gear.  It was wet and my Royals just couldnt capitalize on opportunities when they needed to....they just couldnt hold on to the ball.  It was a great game to be at....everyone felt as if either team was about to make the big play on every single down.

I think Bethel's Coach Johnson properly framed the contest in his pre-game comments at the Alumni/Family get-together:

"Here's the deal...Win or lose, we're going to Jeno's after the game.  But, I am proud that today on that field there will be two schools ranked among the elite programs in the country who are decidedly 'Jesus Guys'!  It makes my heart cry with joy that, win or lose, all across the country the name of Jesus is going to be proclaimed with excellence today!"

Thats the post game critique on the Wheaton/Bethel game!
