Water is on the edge of Bishop Stadium. I hope it is rescheduled, but I don't know when it could be !

Panther Guy, I think you are right.  The young freshmen really grew up as the season progressed. The Bishops will honor their seniors Saturday, a grand total of 6. Looking forward to next season. Congrats to the Hawks and good luck in the future.

N.C. Wesleyan's Midgett is a servant and a leader.]   I hope all the members that post on this site read the article on Dustin Midgett. He is a fine young man who has grown to be an excellent quarterback for the Bishops. Only wish he had another year!

Bishop Stadium is part of the Rocky Mount Sports Complex for the time being. The stadium seats a capacity 5000 to 7000. It was built originally for Rocky Mount High School. Two years ago a new high school
was built including,  a new on campus stadium, leaving the old stadium unoccupied.  Wesleyan entered into a contract  to use the stadium as its own until their new on campus stadium is built in about 3 to five years. I have seen the projected plans for the on campus stadium and is will be "first class".The city holds  the Elizabeth City Classic, pitting Elizabeth City State University and a fellow member of the CIAA Conference. The complex includes several Baseball and soccer fields which are well know for the tournaments held each year in both sports featuring teams from all over the state. The Stadium was renamed "Bishop stadium" this year so that the Bishops would have a temporary Home facility. It is located about 2 miles from the campus.

Maryville made too many mistakes and Wesleyan played a complete game for once

Well done CNU!   Represent the conference well for us

Thanks CNU85....It has been a good rivalry. It would be a shame for it not to continue.

I have to admit, I was disappointed when the Bishops named Coach Ski  to be their head Coach.  Now I have to admit he has done a lot for the program. He is bringing an attitude that hard work, desire, and a never give up attitude to the program that I haven't seen in a few years. Not only to the program, but he has helped formulate a program that attracts students and fans to the game. Settling on a home field has been a tremendous and  positive accomplishment.  We may not be there yet, but I do think this program is headed in the right direction. The more we get the area involved, the better we will be.  Go Bishops!!!!

Averett played a heck of a game, but as I said in a post several weeks ago, the thing about the Bishops that impresses me most is the guys never quit.    Go Bishops!

Congrats to CNU on their victory over the Bishops last night.  The game was one of the most interesting I have seen in some time. Hard fought and well played. This Bishop team is one that I have seen improve each week. One thing I have noticed. They don't quit and they will put a hit on you. I think the Bishops may surprise some folks this year. They have some younger guys that really play.  A huge improvement in one year. They are on their way back guys. Very impressed with improvement from one week to another!  Go Bishops!
