I am not a fan of misinformation, which of course rarely happens on these boards, but let me correct something Reality Check posted.

JCU is NOT charging people to LISTEN to webcasts. JCU is charging to WATCH the webcasts. These are video webcasts that a subscription is being used to cover the costs. Not sure if you have looked into the cost of doing a single event video webcast, but if you do more than a few, it gets to the point where a school would have a tough time "eating the cost" just so its fans can watch for free. Unless of course there is a willing sponsor ... but that's another story in and of itself. You have to pay for bandwidth on servers, and it gets more expensive the more hits you get.

As for live stats, its still a hit and miss operation. Things outside the control of those trying to run the stats can happen, and there is not much that can be done mid-game to correct them. As the technology improves and schools can adapt to the growing demand, it will get better, so be patient.
