- you're acting with that same level of emotional stability we saw last year at the conclusion of the stagg. Take a deep breath and relax. . .
You can tell me how to relax. You've got the entire playoffs and the off-season to do nothing but sit back and relax.
Good one . . . and so true.

If losing by 10 is getting slapped, what is losing 26-14, 52-10, and 33-3 in consecutive years?
We're pacing ourselves . . :-)

I don't know why you keep hammering on about the end of last year's Stagg. VK reacted very poorly
The reason is, because all of you MUCers were howling about the level of class and sportsmanship following TCNJ, and really looking down on all the other programs. . .
It took a loss for the high and mighty football elites to witness that perhaps the only reason why you think you were sports, is because you hadn't been on the wrong side of a final score in a while. . .
. . . we're all human at the end.

Yeah, they lost to Whitewater. A lot of shame in losing to the eventual national champion.
Yeah, And we can say the same thing - but don't - because we want to be that eventual Nat Champ. -- and we're going to get there.

Just to clear things up, here is the speed post in question.
"MUC can be beat - they handled SJF in week 1 - biggest weakness was speed. If the D for Bart can hit the lanes quicker, it will disrupt MUC's O."
So, he was saying MUC can be beat. Then lists the weakness that would allow them to be beat. But, according to him, he wasn't saying that Mount's weakness was speed, instead he was inexplicably listing a weakness of SJF and not a reason that MUC could be beat. SJF's weakness this year was winning. Next year, don't lose to three teams not named Mount Union and make the playoffs so the Raiders can drop 50 on you again.
I agree - they had a handful of first year starters at key positions, that will be back with a little more seasoning, so my expectation is that they'll be better, and will be back to winning the E8 - and hopefully, the season will start with a nice victory over MUC that finally has the stones to venture outside the friendly confines of Alliance OH.
On the speed comment, I was typing fast, and sincerely believe that a weakness on Fisher's team this season was speed. - not sure what the big deal is about that quote -
- you're acting with that same level of emotional stability we saw last year at the conclusion of the stagg. Take a deep breath and relax. . .

What is interesting to note, is that I and most others in the east are willing to admit things that may not exactly look good toward themselves or other teams in the East.
You guys are so pompous all the time.
Even after UWW slapped you, and we all watched MUC become emotionally unhinged on Nat'l TV, instead of giving props to a UWW program that worked hard to get to where it was - you could only muster up back handed compliments like - they were the best team on that particular day only.
Humility - take a break from the cow tipping, and the rule breaking, and learn about it.

I love how you are insulting the #2 team in the OAC for losing when the only team in your "real league" to make the playoffs lost to a seven seed in the first round. Again, please don't post unless you have something intelligent to say.
this was absolutely 100% a bad year for the E8 - not only did we get bounced in round 1, but getting bounced by an NEFC team was very, very hard to take.
I believe Otterbein got bounced this year, and didn't OACer perennial #2 get bounced last year in the first round as well?

That being said there's been a few to get niffs from the NFL including Alex Bell at Bart and the OL from Brockport a few years ago. Who else do people remember getting attention or some modicum of run at that level?
TE from SJF I believe was signed by KC back in '04 (I think) for a brief while.

Great post... from a fan who watched his team get beat up and down the field all game long, and then decides that Mount's biggest weakness is speed.
My mistake for not making it clearer - I was saying that SJF's main weakness this season was speed, not MUC's.

SJF Fan is showing his ignorance on multiple boards today. He's posted over on the LL board that MUC's weakness is "speed".
This would be untrue - I was saying that SJF's weakness this season was speed, not MUC's.

Face it, nobody in the East is beating Mount.
Sadly, that may prove to be true, we'll find out over the next couple of weeks, and the first week of September.
It will be tough for the East to beat MUC in any years as the East does abide by NCAA D3 standards. . MUC is bound to have the same fate as Akron - only a matter of time

The OAC is one of the most successful conferences in the playoffs. Otterbein's loss this year was the exception, not the rule. Have you already forgotten about JCU going on the road in the East and beating the best your region had to offer in '02?
Have we forgotten about that? No, how could we, you OAC man crusher continue to mention it - it was 6 years ago.
In addition to Otterbein, how did the OAC outside of MUC do again? oh.
