Wow, I didn't realize that my post would cause such a ruckus.  First off let me respond to black n gold and say that my choice of username may have been in poor taste as I created it based simply off of the topic area I intended to discuss for that i apologize.  Let it also be known that it was not my intention to personally attack anyone.  I would agree that Holter is a great competitor and athlete it is just my opinion that he is somewhat careless with the football at critical points in games.  Sometimes the Scots are able to overcome these turnovers and sometimes they are not.  Based on the write up from the Wabash game on the COW website, 4 interceptions were thrown by the Scots in addition to 2 fumbles.  Turning the ball over against a quality opponent will almost certainly result in a loss.  It seems that turnovers seem to come in bunches with this team and my thoughts about sitting Holter were made as an analogy to basketball in which a point guard will be sat down for a few minutes to calm down and shake it off.  I think Scotlass hit the nail on the head with the comparison of turnover numbers from last year to this year.  There has not been any improvement in that area.   Enough talk about QBs does anyone have other thoughts about the lack of an under center package for the Wooster offense?

Being a long time resident of Wooster I am both a Generals and Scots fan and despite a 6-2 record for the Scots there are some serious problems with this years team.  The team has constantly had problems taking care of the football which starts at the quarterback position.  In Saturdays game Holter turned the ball over 3 times on the goaline.  This has been a trend all season.  I think it might be time to sit him down and try out Parker. Coach Moore doesnt hesitate to sit down his point guard when he turns the ball over and Coach Schmitz should think about doing the same.  Numerous times this season he has turned the ball over in the redzone and you cant be an elite team when you make mistakes like that.  Secondly, I have yet to see one play this year as a designed under center play.  In short yardage situations it makes no sense to snap the ball 3-4 yards back when you only need to gain several inches.  Just my opinion.
