Hey fellas, I am coaching at a different school this spring after 3 years at my alma mater. I am now at  Lake Weir High school in Ocala FL. Yesterday, I found out that their senior running back from last year will be attending Mount in the fall. His name is Deante Jenkins. He seems to be a pretty good kid.

Never thought Id see Mount Union football in a comic strip. Check out what I saw in Ripleys Believe It or Not Comic Strip.

Hey guys, Havent been on much because of spring football. A couple of pages back you were talking about Panteges from Trinity Catholic. I actually met with him to discuss Mount Union and how the program works. He is a very fine young man, who played at a very competitive high school. Theyve been in the state championship a couple of times in the past 5 years. Im really looking forward to see what he does for the Raiders. Im doing my best to keep funneling the kids in from Florida. Im working on a halfback right now.

Looks like coach Kehres has that Tim Tebow release.

Theres a pretty solid MLB coming from Ocala, Florida. He played at Trinity Catholic High School. Pretty solid player. Big Kid. Fills the gap pretty good.

The colts played a hell of a game tonight. I almost went to bed at half time, but boy am I glad I stayed up for that one. Pierres touchdown was nasty.

53K for me. It really sucks on a teachers/ football coaches salary.

Pierre had a good night last night. 2 catches for 82 yds. Pretty good average.

Kiras,
Thats exactly what Im looking for. Thanks for the help buddy. They are pretty pricey. We might have to stick with the wooden boards.

Do any of you fellas know where I can buy some of the rubber boards that schools use for offensive line work. I have been using regular 1x6's but it rains so much down here that they end up getting warped and my school has to rebuy more. We used them at Mount, but I cant seem to find them online anywhere. I thought one of you might know. Thanks for the help.

Went to the movies last night and saw a preview for this Tony Dungy Red Zone 09. It seems pretty cool. Some of you other high school football coaches may want to take your teams to see it. I have read a couple of his books and he is a great guy with a good message. Here is a link for more info:  http://www.ncm.com/Fathom/Sports/TonyDungy_RedZone.aspx
A few more weeks fellows.

How's spring practice going?  Heard you've got good numbers.

Im glad to hear someone has good numbers. Ive been trying to make my high school squad work with 26 players. Not much depth, but the kids attitudes and work ethics are great considering it is 5000 degrees outside. Who do you play in your spring game Kirasdad?
