I was just informed that there is a typo in my post.... it is Soldan Arena, 618 Union Blvd.
How one letter can change the whole meaning!   ;D

D3 Alum update - Kenard Davis and Brian Fogerty have signed contracts to play for the PBL team the St. Louis Phoenix.  This team is scheduled to meet the Chicago Muscles (L. Ellis - Greenville Alum) 1/29/12 at Soldan Area.

I was just reading the board and want to make a comment concerning the health of Coach McKinney.  I am in contact with the McKinney family regularly and know the status of Coach's health.  The implication that Hopefan gave was NOT  CORRECT! At a low point and moving up...YES!

Hope - your constant interpretation of situations continues to amaze me at how WRONG you can be and how uncouth the comment you made concerning Coach on this PUBLIC board.

DO YOU KNOW THAT HIS GRANDKIDS READ THIS BOARD?   How horrible will it be for them to read the implication you have made here!!!!

I sincerely hope that this message is not pulled and EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE TO READ IT./color]

Red - you were amusing but it obvious that you are a product of rumor mills and have never played the telephone game...what actually was said or done by the time it gets around usually isn't very close to what happened.

A perfect example of what was seen and not what happened was just posted concerning the FU - PC game - ease to do because sometimes you think you know what is going on....

You also seem very angry that perhaps you did not get your chance to shine - You would benefit from the guidance of Coach McKinney....

I am a distant observer - seldom commenting but usually reading and I must say if I could give you karma RED...you'd have at least 10!

Haven't read the board in a few weeks - had to catch up -  thanks to all for the good recaps. Stats don't always tell the story.

Tough season so far for FU - saw them play a few times this year.  Branch is missing from the Fontbonne stat sheet and Strickland missing from the Webster stat sheet?  Not sure what's going on there.  But I have to believe that there must be GOOD reasons for the decisions and I am confident that it is the best for the athletes.

What is happening in the FU camp...Is it coaching, is it the players?  It is a different team "make up" It is a re-building year.  I thought I would not use that term - but I think it is true.  It seems that they have yet to find who (or them) is controlling the floor - keeping the team at an even keel.  In my opinion that can only be done by a player(s)! Encouraged  by the coach but ultimately the players.

Players coming and going – don't know any numbers but I'm sure if you looked you would find it at every school.   So many factors in DIII that would influence a player's decision – what about Greenvilles loss of 2 players this year?  Were they tired of putting up with Greenville....  I still think Fontbonne can be a turn it around -never give up till the fat lady sings (guess that is kinda politically incorrect these days!!).   :D

If you really think about it - it all seems to easy to track back to Landon for me and he is concerned enough to address this issue on this board.  Enough!

Lets hear some good info on the flurry of games that have begun.

Hopefan - I agree EC is charged... missed them at FU but thinking about attending at Webster - weather maybe a factor.  Always a good day to see Webster get some knocking around on the floor!   :D

I hope EC is ready for the second meeting with Fontbonne!

So was I the only one expecting a more even game GC vs EC?  Looks like EC has their team ready to go!  Congrats to EC.  I will be at the game when they come to town...  I am really a BIG Fontbonne fan so it will be nice to see FU come out with a victory!

formersliacomm - you posted the folowing concerning the jump to D2 for MU "The humiliating defeats and the long trips in the GLVC will wear them down."  So what does that say about the athletes and coachs of MU and OTHER teams that keep putting it out there and no matter what give 100% and still fall to the bottom?  So are saying if you can't win hang it up you'll never rise above it?  Come on - doesn't everyone clasify that as a rebuilding year, didn't do very well recruiting, students enrollment numbers.....?  I have heard alot.

MU going to D2 well - I do agree they should of stayed... but I am not "in the know" about alot so I don't the details.

Ouch! Go GC!

Darn - looks like Mac pumped up the defense or ?? - WU % from the floor went to 35% - 3 pt 3-13  - ttl 10-28 in the 2nd half.

Hard to tell - stats can only show one side of the story.

Any update on the GC & EC game tonight would be great and of course after the game comentary!
