Speaking of a certain former HC, anyone know why he is not listed on Mount's coaching roster page? I thought he was QB coach this season?

Congrats to NC, heckuva run for Mount. Disappointed with the missed opportunities and some questionable play calls in the first half. That 4th & 1 punt followed by the 94yd td was a haymaker.

Hats off to North Central, they embarrassed Mount's defense. It's been quite awhile since the Raiders have been bounced Thanksgiving weekend.

D'Angelo is a good QB. Period. He isn't great - he isn't an all time great. He's good. The Berg game showed his limitations. I know it was windy, and wet, and nasty. I have seen those games before with other Mount QB's (Ballard, Borchert and Burke come immediately to mind) and don't recall seeing the offense that one dimensional. Burke threw for 163 on 12-19  (1TD, 1INT) in the 2013 snow fest with NCC. I would say that adding the snow, and temp to the wind and wet makes that game more impressive. And KB threw some absolute dimes in that one. Ballard or Borchert in some of the mud games in Alliance (ah the days before turf) or Borchert throwing for 6 or 7 TDs against Lycoming in 30 mph winds. I don't remember Borchert's passes trailing in the wind.

We talk about this every off season - Mount's Mount Rushmore. D'Angelo is a good QB - he just isn't great.  It's not a dig or knock on him - he just isn't Bill Borchert, or Jim Ballard, or Gary Smeck, or....or....

Ballard in the Rain and Mud vs. St. John's in 1993 was awesome.  I can't find the Box Score online but remember it live.  56-8 Monkeystomp.

That was an epic one and so glad we had covered stands. Had to fire up the waybackmachine and all credit to Ric

Very good point, I have no doubt Frank has sources in many a district attorney or in this case, state attorney's office.

I'm not sure that there would be any "public" indication until the prosecutor stands up at a calendar call/pre-trial and announces that a deal has been reached.

WHERE IS EVERYBODY?

I know I'm retired and have lots of time, and there isn't much going on, but gee guys, it's lonely out here.
Haven't heard from the usual cast of characters like: desertraider, Dr. Acula, joelmama (a fraternity brother), HScoach, WRMUalum, and our friends from JCU. Are you still alive?
Only 2 months until practice starts. Can't wait.
OK! I'll say my usual - Go Everybody. And remind you that I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things!

And just for the hell of it, I'll throw in a Romanian flag - 🇷🇴 . Noroc (cheers)

I'll drink to that 57, Noroc

Frank,
I doubt we get much in the way of docket activity before a plea is entered. The biggest things are victim cooperation and agreement with any plea deal and once the state/victim and defendant are on board, the announcement could come at any scheduled calendar call. The PC affidavit seems to reflect a culture of what was at one time considered "horsing around" but now is viewed as hazing. Based on the reported injuries, certainly over the line, but to rise to the level of a felony offense? Broward County has built itself reputation on some head scratching behavior from the state attorney's office and various antics from those on the bench. I hope for all involved that this is resolved without the need for a trial.

Michael Dutko is his attorney, as I stated last night.

Thank you for the update, Mr. Dutko is a big time defense attorney in Fort Lauderdale. His law partner, David Bogenschutz is an Ohio native and the firm has represented a number of very high profile athletes, politicians, etc.

I am here to collect my lumps, I threw in the towel at 35-10 as Mrs. Broward had a long honeydo list and Christmas shopping to complete. What a comeback, aided in part by a massive bed crapping. I did catch last 5 minutes, unreal. Curious how many records this set, for Mount, playoff otherwise as far as comeback. Great win and good luck Friday gang, I hope they come out firing.

Tip of the cap, what a thorough and complete ass whooping, from coaching to execution. Gonna be a long flight home and UWO isn't done yet.

This little foray through the juvenile justice system has got this board's dander up. Haven't seen threats of physical violence on here in awhile. Go Mount beat CWRU

Going to trust that VK & LK are better informed and make the best decision based on the facts. To add to the juvenile angle, a search of Broward County-Miramar is his hometown and surrounding counties Miami-Dade and Palm Beach reveal no such felony battery case on the clerk of courts' online docket. Juvenile criminal dockets are statutorily confidential and only viewable to the child, parent, guardian, attorney, select governmental officials or by court order. Has anyone actually seen the charge and more importantly the court that it's in front of? Obviously a huge difference between circuit criminal and juvenile court with respect to the entire process.
