Glad HSC got the victory, however the fact they were behind to E&H by 17 points is concerning. Everything I hear, including comments from several E&H backers, E&H is not very good. Every team has their day and perhaps last nite was almost that day for E&H. I guess at this point it is all about advancing to the next game and HSC certainly accomplished that goal but rest assured if HSC does not show up in the first half against the Quakers, the game result will not be a good one for the Tigers. Hopefully lesson learned and on to the next game. I'm impressed with HSC will to win. I hope there was a big crowd there to support them.
Several thoughts. E&H was red hot on 3 pointers - one player who was a 13% 3 point shooter had 5 or 6 in first half. His arches almost hit the flags!! They did shut him down in 2nd half but some others did same in 2nd half until the full court press took over.. As the season progressed, E&H made some great improvements - they beat four teams that beat HSC - Roanoke by 7, Shenandoah by 5, EMC by 3 and Bridgewater by 4. Their coach has HSC stripes so he will be on up swing. Beware next year.

HSC up 8 with 9 minutes to go in 1st half and them down 15 at half
At about 4-5 minutes left in game -HSC down 12 - but won 79-75 - unbelievable defense in last 3 minutes. Repeated steals. E&H really played well and will be something to tend with next year. 10 turnovers by HSC in 1st half and only 4 in 2nd was difference at E&H had 12 in 2nd half - great come back - see you in Salem

HSAthletics is correct - only one Sr transfer under Coach Vick's time at HSC- Anderson would have been other Sr that was missing - did not mean to create issue

HSC Had a couple of upperclass player transfer to UVA for their Senior year - not sure why they left - HSC had nice win today over Shen. 80-66. Shen.'s 3 pointers kept them in the game. Coach Vick dressed the manager for Senior day and he scored the last 2 points - appeared on streaming that Shen actually let him do the last layup which was a nice act. Seeded #6 and will play E&H on Monday night. Good shot for Greg Lewis to get to 1000 points.

Great honor for RMC and for ODAC - a conference known for knocking each other off.

H-SC over E&H 77-66 Very even scoring as 4 guys in double figures E&H was up by 2 at half - fairly close until about 8 minute mark or so and H-SC pulled away. Made a lot of foul shots at end to go 7-5 in ODAC. Never seem such high arching 3 pointers as E&H did tonight and they did a lot.

67-61 in OT H-SC over Guilford - great game given where H-SC was coming from. Guilford had strong finish in game as down 10 and had 13-2 run to go into OT

It will be interesting to see how the H-SC players respond tomorrow night. Eight or nine players were down for the week. They have not been able to practice as everyone went home
We will see!!

Was sad to watch W&L win against HSC - stomach virus really got them. But W&L won by their efforts and especially on foul line with 23 out of 25. Watch out for Murtha - will be force as only a freshman for W&L. W&L also had some great blind passes that I wish that I could have seen replay. HSC guys really ran out of steam in 2nd half but were gutsy. Duncan had good night at 26 points but rest of team was slowly drained as game continued. One starter (Owens) didn't even make trip and Murray did not play until about half way thru first half. You got to take what is given and there will be another day.

You are right. Silverthorn will be a player to follow for the next four years. His three or four 3's in the first few minutes set the tone for the entire game. I am sure that RMC alumni eyes were getting bigger and bigger every time he touched the ball. Great find for RMC.

Reality, I believe, has arrived. H-SC started the season strong but the ODAC is also very, very strong. Both the RMC and EM games saw experienced Seniors vs. Newly Arrived Players from H-SC (9 new guys this year) and guess who won. The size, speed, and experience sure won out in a big way. H-SC led in three games with 15 seconds to go and lost - that is experience or lack of talking. But guess what - all that builds for the future and H-SC's guys will come together.

RMC 14 - 3 pointers at 52% Lewis /Murray, H-SC dynamic backcourt went 3 for 20 tonight - hard to keep up that way.

RMC showed their stuff tonight 77-55 over H-SC. Was about a 11 point game with a few minutes to go and lights out with 3 pointers. Not sure how many but RMC entire team was putting them in. H-SC scored 8 points in last minute so it was really a blow out. RMC freshman really started with 4-5 3 pointers in first 5 minutes of the game and never looked back. Well - next time!
