I hope they never consider Scott Stewart. His teams have no discipline and aren't much better if any.

I go back and forth between what / who the Cru should consider bringing in as a HC replacement for Harmon. Initially I think about a up and coming proven Texas HS coach, but I could be onboard with robbing another ASC team. I remember watching Jordan Neal as a player, and even had the pleasure of meeting his dad a couple times when I was rooting for the opposing team, and super impressed.

I think he could shine at a program like UMHB

After watching Scott a few years. I would hope they wouldn't even consider him.

I'm starting to get the vibe that he isn't getting replaced... hopefully I'm wrong.

Unfortunately I think you are closer to being right than I am. Another option, would Temple HS coach Stewart be interested? Great success at the Texas HS level, local, and coming off a rough season and not sure what my Wildcats have in place for the next few years in their new district

Congrats NCC. Go win it all!

Both NCC and UMHB are different teams than last year. UMHB's size and speed advantages haven't been nearly as apparent as they were last year. Their d-line doesn't look nearly as elite as it has in the past. On NCC's side they lost at least one starter on the o-line who happened to be an all-American. I think UMHB has shown flashes of being a national championship team but they'll need to put together a full game against NCC.

In my opinion, having watched UMHB from the beginning, UMHB size and speed advantage doesn't show as much when the play HSU, HPU or Trinity is because they are very close in size and speed to UMHB and often play close games. UMHB D had a pretty good half at Trinity and shut down the run game for the most part. The D had another good half against Bethel and will have to play NCC better. However, NCC still has the challenge of shutting down UMHB offense. UMHB still has 9 of 11 returning starters on offense and match up well with NCC. Can NCC stop the passing game or the run game?  If the Cru can slow down Greenfield they have a real shot to win this game.

Great game by both teams. Congratulations to Trinity on a great season. Let's Go Cru!

My prediction for Saturdays game. I think the CRU are somewhat not pleased with their seeding in the bracket. This team has senior leadership and something like 30 players that started or played in last years Stagg Bowl. The CRU are on a mission and I see them winning by at least 14. I'll be in San Antonio for this game.

Did D3football.com post the quick hits for this week. In the podcast they mention it, however I can't find it.

Doesn't look like 25 puts his hand on 30's back. It look likes just before contact he pulls his arm in and hits him in the shoulder with his shoulder.

That's how it looks to me.

"Hearing from very reliable sources (wink Veek wink) that there is an arts and crafts festival in downtown Belton today wreaking havoc on getting to Scores for the pregame festivities.

I'm still in Austin at a Circle K as Brice made the rookie mistake of forgetting his sunglasses."

Have a safe trip and see you at the game.
