Lubbers stadium seats 36,000, is conveniently located, and is not being used tomorrow.
It was a Calvin home game; I assume they wanted to play it in their home stadium.

Alma @ Hope for homecoming this weekend. Could very well be the MIAA Championship game.
I have a hard time with DePauw and JCU. One just doesn't play anyone good. The other lost to the #4 and #6 teams in the country. For now, I put DePauw 2. The winner in Holland this weekend will almost certainly hop them in my rankings next week. JCU went toe to toe with Mount for 3.5 quarters. I just can't bring myself to put them lower until Hope or Alma shows me more.
The game is at Alma on Saturday.

Congrats to Calvin on starting off with a win. Smart move scheduling Oberlin for your program opener.

This note could probably be added to any of the boards, since Greg is a great contributor with all of them. But I know Greg's passion for NPU sports probably started with basketball.
Congratulations to Greg Sager for receiving the call to the NPU Viking Hall of Fame with his induction scheduled for December 2nd.
Congratulations, Greg!

They don't have football so still just 8 teams and now 3 teams without (Berea, Earlham, Transylvania).
I think the bigger question is does the conference add a 12th to get back to an even number. Asbury is still looking for a landing spot and seems to be the obvious choice if the HCAC does add another school in the near future.
Asbury makes a lot of sense... and they don't play football either.
