i think u might be underestimateing the abilities of there 18 year olds... some of the high school programs that we come from send three or four kids to D1 level such as Denison, Rider etc... so we studs maybe more talented than u give us credit for...

Purple reign seriosly? Only one season removed from being the worst defense in the NATION.  ::)

Reign: dominating power or influence.... Hardly.  ???

Well I am not sure how UMHB will compete. I bet they are just resting on their laurels and getting soft and fat.  :-*

CALL IT WHATEVER YOU WANT. IT WAS A VASTLY IMPROVED DEFENSE THIS YEAR AND SHOULD BE VERY STRONG AGAIN NEXT YEAR. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE. WHEN DO SPRING PRACTICES KICK OFF. MY TWO YEAR OLD CAN'T WAIT FOR FOOTBALL SEASON SO HE CAN GO TO AN HSU GAME. WE TRAIN EM EARLY OUT WEST.

I agree i have played against some of the DL and LB that HSU signed this years and theyre some studs just not big... I think the UMHB HSU game will be insane and I hope i can play in it! I hope ot get to meet you and your son sometime

Look iam above talking down about an opponet. So talk all you want. HSU football players, coaches, and students have class so I really dont wanna talk trash with you. So if your gonna talk trash go ahead but that makes us look good and you look cocky and arrogant. The taller you are the harder you fall HSWho2007

Purple reign is a nickname that has started after the defense went through its makeover a couple years ago after it was giving up 48 points a game... its something that's hasn't really gotten started yet...  it was just to give the defense an identity after being terrible for a while so its just a new nickname

Oh well he sounds like quite the hoss haha. Iam excited to meet him. I play everywher. OL/DL LB FB everything so we will probably get the chance to hit each other. Iam excited to continue the legacy that is HSU football with him this next year and I hope we will maybe get to play on that Purple Reign defense together

I was recruited by alot of schools to be quite honest. I was recruited by just about every ASC team except for Mississippi College I was also recruited by T.C.U. and Texas State but because of me being only 6'0 260 i was never offered. I choose HSU due to the fact of the tradition that has been there over the years. I had it narrowed down to about three schools. UMHB, HSU, and HPU. I choose HSU because of the tradition. Also i feel in love with Abilene and the mascot being the cowboys. I have the utmost respect for UMHB and HPU i just choose HSU for those reasons.  I look forward to facing your crusaders it will be a challenge since yall have dominated the last few years.

Its a tragedy that cannot be put into words and being a player in D3 at HSU I truly know that this is a terrible loss. If AC is like any other college team this is a huge loss for the AC players, family and the whole campus. My thoughts prayers and condolences go to his family... I speak for all college athletes that this is a huge loss... My thoughts and prayers are with them all

oh yes to clarify on the LOI its just a piece of paper saying that you will be coming to HSU but its not a letter of intent that binds you to go to HSU so its not really a LOI its just a promise i guess if you have any integrity you wont go back on your word like that so its more like a promise.
