So, I hope this Linfield-UT game is off the hook.  But, at the end of the day I'm pulling for the Tommies.  Seriously though though, is there a webcast anywhere?

Linfield's website had a really good webcast of last weeks UMHB/Linfield game, I'm guessing it will be up again this weekend.  Also, The game will be playing on campus in Scooters.

Friggin' Vikings.  WTF with that defense?  It really makes a guy mad, you know?

What I don't get is that they are so predictably chewed up by the passing game in the second half every week.  We play against someone like Baltimore or NO we'll have 50 points scored on us.

umm... We did play Baltimore

WOW! Tommies take down the gophers 6-3!

In my opinion Ders and Alex Healy will both be starting next year.  Replacing Al?  Any opinions? Tuna?

Terrible way to watch them go.  After such a promising first half.  The D gave up so many uncontested layups it was sickening. and 70% shooting? unreal.

PS: Don't be surprised to see more UST fans in attendance tonight.  I know of quite a few people going down for tonights game that weren't there last night.

I think it's important to note that even with Lonn Robinson, UST's best defender, only playing 16 minutes because of foul trouble, they still held a team averaging 80something points a game to a mere 69 points.

As much as I enjoy reading the CCIW board, they're not without their village idiots...

A great game last night, but it was tough to walk out of that gym knowing that this Thunder team wont take the floor again. But if Wheaton had to lose, Wash U is certainly a worthy opponent to fall to. The Bears played with poise, experience, and most of all class. Wash U has a great team and I would be shocked if they lost the rest of the way--even tonight. There just are not many teams that play D like that.

I think the tone of the game was really set when McCrary missed the 2 FT's after the intentional foul call on his break away.  Wash U controlled the tempo by giving up an intentional foul instead of a free layup, and it worked.  Wheaton misses a momentum change, and Wash U realizes it is the more composed, experienced team on the floor.  The PG was very cool headed, and did well to pop the lead back to 6 or 7 whenever Wheaton would whittle it away.  I also applaud Wash U for their class.

I look forward to seeing them knock off St. Thomas, who in my one viewing of them (last night), seem to be pretty cocky and enjoying the ride on the undefeated train a little too much.

WTF?? I've seen over a 9-10 UST games this year & I've not seen anything that closely resembles hubris or arrogance.  Fritz would blow a gasket - i.e. Teddy Archer & the flops from last year.  So are they supposed to act like little choirboys??

Based on the karma rating, & low post count,  I'm guessing this is a sanctimonious "little holier than thou" pi** ant from the league winner.  Funny how certain types of schools seem to breed these type of posters.   ;)

I have no problem saying that if any player was being cocky, Fritz would end their life right on the court :P .  I've seen even when UST has had a large cushion, Fritz will not hesitate to light up Joe Scott for missing an assignment.  Scott seems to be the favorite of Fritz's as far as who he's going to chew out.  Scott misses an assignment, Fritz's face turns red, and you can see the spew of profanity coming from Fritz's mouth.  It's great to watch.

Great season to UPS.  No doubt that you guys had a legit team, and should have made it to the elite 8 at least.  It's a shame how insane our bracket was. UWSP and UPS both deserve to still be in the tourny.  And now tomorrow, our #1 UST takes on #2 UW a matchup that shouldnt happen until next weekend.

Yeah, this sectional could have very well been looked at as the final 4

definately, it's a shame that everything has to be about $$$ in DIII

any preferene for wheaton or wash u?  i'd lean wash u to take the crowd element out of the picture. but both will be tough

I'm happy with the outcome.  No home court advantage.  But after watching that game, I don't see UST losing to Wash U, kind of a sloppy game.

Mig,

that is unless he is intimidated by all the GAC fans on here...oh wait...GAC fans are probably too busy reading the St. Peter best seller "Acting Classless for Dummies" book.

Haha, I have recently been receiving withheld calls from what I found out to be a GAC fan.  They really took that little shenanigans I pulled before the GAC/UST game seriously, it seems to have hurt them real bad deep down inside.  They like to leave cute little messages and call at all hours of the night.  They have really stepped up their game this time. Haha
