Hope 71 70 Olivet 69

Peter Bunn was outstanding for Hope, having his best offensive game in a Hope uniform

Olivet will rue its missed FT's, 2 Technical shots, and front ends of 2 one for ones and then the final nail really, missing the first of two with a chance to tie......

Yah you could say that again.

Did anyone notice if we did get a warning? or did the ref just give us a Technical.  I didn't see the warning.  And another thing I thought once a ref called a Technical he couldn't reverse it.  The ref called a Technical on the other team but then reversed it.

The Hope one.

A loss on the road for Calvin.  Not good.  Looks like a fight for 1st.  Anyone worried about the game on Saturday?
#4
I am just SNIKKERING about Calvin.... oh man did they just put matt Debor in the game???? GO COVENANT!

Snow kept me in too.  According to the stats looks like everyone got a chance to play a little... and I think looks like Ty hit a few 3's?  Is he back?  Last game at home he hit a few 3's and looked like his confidence was showing up or maybe he was just happy to be out on the floor again.

Will miss seeing Jared out there though.

Chris didn't play right?  Anyone know how long he will be out?

"Things getting dicey for both the Dutchmen and Knights in the final minutes"

Nice to see the bench play.... they contributed

but once again I see.... oh yah were winning by a ton.  No big deal.

ohhhh no there closing in at 8 points

better put the cold first string in again to hopefully pull us though the next 5 min.

over and over year after year.

I do recall one time just barley winning at an away game because this happened... can anyone tell me where?

There is no objection MM had a great game and he has been doing great.

But come on 0 fouls by MM don't tell me that's a great forward? Did the refs miss anything... no I don't think so.  I never blame the refs for blowing a game.  But come on 0 fouls?????  MM show me some elbow!!!  Give a little shove! LOL that's a little joking around.  I'm "Not trying to stir the mythical pot on this either."  ;D

So why wasn't there a time out called by the coach during the last 15 seconds of the game?  Because we had a time out left.  And I do recall David's face...and hand movements to the coaches...what do you want me to call????? Hey coach call a time out.

Yah I think my dreams of going to the tournament with this team is out the door unless there is some think Magical that might happen.  Maybe I think that their not dead just sleeping.

"What I'm seeing--and frustrated with--is too much dinking around at the top of the key at the beginning of the possessions,"

Wow you got it.  WAAAYYYYY to much dinking around.  If you watched the game last night there was a lot of guys who were standing around or dribbling too much.  Did I mention standing around...it was sad.  On offense and defense.  If you watched the other team knew exactly where we were going to run on offense in fact sometimes they beat our 2 and 3 to their own spot.

Why wasn't Peter Bunn player of the week over John Mantel ????

Maybe I'm kinda partial to Peter Bunn.... and well I just don't like John Mantel.

Maybe cause John Mantel is a knight????

LOL go hope.

How long has Pat Stegeman been a ref?  I hadn't seen him ref before.  Even though he seemed to be fair, it brought back memories of how I really, really, really, really, really dislike him.  Tongue

MaroonKnighty

I think it is great to see him on the floor again.  Too bad not in orange and blue. I tried to convince him to ref a hope calvin game but he said he couldn't....bummer for us.  He has been on the hope floor for a few games to ref but not during league games.

sac I would have to agree with you. But I still feel there's a little more missing this year then the previous years.  Sure they are lacking age and experience but maybe the team and coaches need a little more enthusiasm: o.  I think this is the quietest (is that even a word?) year I have seen GVW....  he is doing a little more sitting.  I wish he would stand up and stomp his foot a little more.  That is always entertaining!!!!!!  COME ON GVW LETS SEE SOME EMOTION THAT YOU ALWAYS BRING TO THE GAME!!!!!

I seriously doubt he does that - and Jared's thumbs up to the ref was given immediately after Hope tied up the ball, and Jared was signaling a jump ball in the officials direction, totally a natural reaction.

That was a Joke about GVW.

I thought Snuggeruud turned a bit of a corner in the second half after sitting a good part of the first one. Once he realizes it's not enough for him merely to start, he could become an important contributor. I also am quite fond of Mysliwiec's game.

I would have to agree with the Snuggeruud comment....I think he will be a great contributor once he gets the confidence.....but I don't know where that is going to come from.  Seems like the team as a whole coaches included don't seem to have the confidence they have had in past years..... any ones thoughts on this or am I just missing the boat

Looks like GVW reads Posting up....he took my advice with three min left in the game and put Jared Mysliwiec as point.... looked good.  Other than the thumbs up to the refs.  Way to go Jared.

Has anyone ever thought about this combo?  Jared Mysliwiec as Point, Peter Bunn,     David Krombeen, Will Bowser, (Nate Snuggerud or Chris Nelis).... just a thought? or even Jared Mysliwiec as a fill in for David Krombeen?
