The cesspool of the world

Quote from: Desertraider on January 01, 2025, 08:01:19 PMAs a Michigan fan nothing gives me greater joy than being a thorn in THE side. But I get it, OSU just wants to win. They want to be victorious. They want to be celebrated for being victorious and praised as champions. Thats right folks, THE Buckeyes want to be-

NCC has been a dominant football team. I checked the season records for NCC on D3Football which went back to 1998. Over that period of time they have won an impressive 78% of their games with 239 wins against 66 loses

Mount Union has been dominate as well winning 96% of their games during the same time period with 345 wins against 16 losses.

With Mount Union being up 106 less wins during that time period on NCC and me being 68 I doubt I'll be around when NCC passes Mount Union in wins.

Quote from: raiderpa on December 21, 2024, 11:43:37 PMIf Mount Defense plays Jan 5 like they did today, they may need 72 to win...

well, they scored at will on what the D3 "analytics" told me was one of the greatest D3 defenses of the modern era. "rarified air" and "best in a decade" I believe were thrown around.

Play with poise, limit negative plays and turnovers and don't piss down your leg at the start of the game a la Susquehanna and '22 Stagg Bowl will be key.  Can't get into a big hole against NCC.  Make it a physical game, drag them out into deeper waters and see if they can swim.  This Mount squad has a knack for not flinching in big moments.

There is literally next to zero pressure on the Raiders in Houston.  NCC is the greatest superpower ever seen in D3 led by the quarterback who invented college football.  Their five year stretch is something that has never been seen before and definitely was not aided a great deal by a pandemic.  Five straight Stagg Bowls?!?!? I mean come on, that's unheard of.  They will probably keep that up for 10, maybe 11 straight years. "Red is the new Purple"

Quote from: Purple13 on December 16, 2024, 01:38:55 PMI was just wondering if they will still be having the Pregame Brunch on Sat Morning given the fact that they are on Christmas Break

That would be a bummer if they didn't. When we went to the games we always made sure we were hungry and early for the brunch.

Or maybe it was the Raven's defense.

The son-in-law has seemed to struggle with that in his head coaching tenure.

Are you referencing the son-in-law that had life threatening brain surgery in October of 2017 to remove two brain tumors. The recovery was difficult and long and as part of the plan to get him the best medical treatment along with trying to maximize his recovery he and his family moved in with his in-laws.

I'm going to my first Mount game of the year today. Are there any good tailgating spots at JCU?  It has been a few years since I last ventured to JCU and I'm not sure if the old spots still exist.

With the shake up today in Las Vegas a couple of JCU guys are now looking for work.  Both Josh McDaniels and David Ziegler got fired today. Things are going to get better this weekend.

Well, Capitals one win was Otterbein in a close game.  Those two Columbus schools been battling each other the past few years to not be the worst team in the OAC.  Crusaders have managed to win 4 games since 2019, losing 34. While the Cardinals been doing slightly better averaging 1-2 wins a year, usually beating Capital. ;D Lots of big high schools in the area, but the two OAC Columbus colleges seem unable to draw in players well.

The Capital Crusaders football team lost its last game on 9/25/21 to Marietta 37-7 and haven't lost a game since.

The Capital Comets, on the other hand, have lost many games.

They have a 2 - 21 record which is bad but many teams have lost more than 21 games so I wouldn't say that is many games..

I see Mount Union is back to doing Mount Union things

Two pick sixes and a third interception in the 1st quarter.

Looks like the old coach still knows how to coordinate.
