Bashbro - here's an article.  Koop is 1 away from the NCAA D3 record - http://www.thepaper24-7.com/main.asp?SectionID=24&SubSectionID=23&ArticleID=28513  No mention of the team record for blocks in a season.

Another poll that would be interesting...  Who would you rather fight in a bar brawl... CJ Gum or Brad McKinley?   ;D

Is it Saturday yet???

interesting question...i might have to go mckinley (very begrudgingly though)  i once saw cj working out his forearms in the gym.  when asked why he was spending so much time on them, he said "i wanna be able to rip someone's throat out like rambo (the newest installment.)"  very scary to think about facing that guy in any kind of fight haha ;D

and congrats bash , especially the hard hats, on a great win.  sounds like it would've been amazing to watch in person.  also good to see #11 making plays ;)

Dealing with major injuries is nothing new for our program.  In my tenure I saw a number of devastating injuries, including one myself that threatened my senior year.  Wes is a strong resilient man who is entirely capable of taking what some might see as a negative and turning it into a positive.  I fully expect him to become an even better leader than he already is and keep this team focused on the long arduous road ahead.  There are plenty of alumni that he played with that he can talk to about staying positive in the face of such adversity.  I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

On another note, I am very excited to see how this team matures throughout the season.  I can't wait to come out and catch a game this season (flying from AZ.)

Go Bash

Dk -   I am working on that.  ;D  Did you ever have the flu while at Wabash?  ;)

It looks like HOMETOWNSPORTS is broadcasting the Wabash Home games online again this year!  Awesome.    Starting with the Wooster opener!

Very cool, they do a great job.  Now all we have to do is talk them into doing away games  :D

never had the flu...but had a week long allergy attack haha

I am super jealous of the new field.  Anyone know a way we can squeeze out a little more eligibility? ;)
Good luck men, keep the tradition alive.

Excellent story about Wabash SID Brent Harris, being part of a national advisory board that will help shape the way game statistics are compiled and delivered to the masses.  Wabash is lucky to have a leader in this field on the team.  This national advisory board...CoSIDA named his media guide the best in the country....not a bad summer for Mr. Harris, I'd say.   It's good to see this kind of recognition for work that far too often gets taken for granted.  Some Little Giant!

Congrats to Brent.  He is THE MAN ;D ;D ;D
Thanks for all the work you put in

BashBrother: Thank you very much.  I enjoyed playing in front of our fans more...trust me.  I have never seen a fan base as dedicated as ours (per capita ;))

Good to see a healthy number of AZ boys.  Hope they're ready for the "real" cold they're about to experience in the winter ;D

No I understand that you may have been joking.  I was addressing those fans over the past two years who have actually made this accusation.  My tirade was not necessarily directed towards you.  I just felt the need to put my two cents in.  My reading comprehension and sense of humor are pretty strong. Sarcasm can only be implied without actually hearing the person talk by the way ;)

I'm sorry Ypsi but I have a real problem with people thinking that the team doesn't take the Bell Game as serious when we qualify for the playoffs.  I have never played in a Bell Game that I didn't go out and give my all.  Sometimes things break down and we get behind, but that never speaks to the level of preparation and dedication that is put into the game.  Fans who say things like "maybe we should forfeit our playoff spot if we don't win the bell" really irk me.  If that is how you feel then you are no true fan.  Wabash Always Fights applies to the players as well as the fans.  When our fans turn on us it is really disheartening.  This is getting pretty long and making me angry so I will bow out now.

This is a huge week.  We're gonna be missing some big time playmakers on both sides of the ball so lets hope everyone can step up their game.  Always means ALWAYS!!!!

bashbrother,
thanks for that link.  that was probably one of the most fun games i had in my entire career at bash.  i had always regretted how i underperformed against wooster so i wanted to make it a point to finally play to my potential.  i think i came close to accomplishing that.  its crazy to see just how much fun we have as a program on the field.  we all know how many cool things we do off the field, but we sometimes forget how much fun it is to be out there and making plays.

This is kinda funny, but as I'm reading Coach Raeburn's interview I'm hearing his voice (as performed by Derrick Yoder) and I can't stop laughing.  All in love coach.  On a serious note, when we were interviewing coaches, and Tony can attest to this, there was a strong feeling that Coach could make us his Mount.  We're far from there I still believe, but we have definitely taken steps in the right direction.
