I think Simmons should have definetly gotten the player of the week last week as well but like jdex and magicman said cooper did get the 1000 point mark ...I dont beleive any freshman has ever gotten the player of the year award in the sunyac (atleast not in the last 12 years)  I dont think any freshman has even ever made first team in the last 10 years and there has been some good high scoring freshman ...thats why they have rookie of the year awards ....But you guys are right it is way to early to talk mvp...cant wait to see what happens up in oneonta, new paltz this weekend...cortland at plattsburgh should be a good mathup as well both teams coming off some early 2nd semester loses

hey guys man this season is really unpredictable...however it does seem that the home team has had a huge advantage so far this year (which sucks for the blue devils as they go to oneonta and new paltz this weekend)..who do you guys think is the early season mvp...my vote is for cooper with simmons close behind..(simmons averaging 4 more points but has taken 60 more shots than cooper),,,cant wait for this weekends games...some exciting stuff with like 6-7 teams that could take it

Fredonia State beats Worchester State 75-73 in the first round of the RIT tournament.  Brad Cooper had 28 and 7 rebounds for Fredonia.  Julius Bryant also contributed 24 points while James Kane had 10 boards and 8 points.  Fredonia moves to 3-3 and has won 3 straight.

I agree plattsburgh is definetly gonna be the team to beat this year ...cortland and oneonta also should be right up there...Im not quite sold on brockport yet because they have absolutly no big men but they didnt last year either ...We are going to have to wait till second semester on new paltz because last year they started off awesome as well then had some eligibility issues..  fredonia is experienced and finally getting healthy definetly playing alot better then the first 3 games of the season...I think buff st is a very young team that will be in the top 5 by the end of the season if everyone stays eligible.

geneseo and oswego seems like they are down this year but have one of the best coaching staffs in my opinion so u never know...potsdam really down this year

man it really got under my skin...haha.... talk about talking up a team or a conference wow....and ur right about the weaker schools arent winning the conference but the stronger teams are garunteed like 8 to 12 wins a year..im not gonna lie the first comment that I made about the neac was alittle inappropriate and I didnt really mean it the way it came out but ur replies have been just as inappropriate.

I take back my homer pick for now with Fredonia at number 3 haha....This years east division has been and seems to be very interesting this year.   No real consistancy just teams beating up on each other...i beleive Medaille, SUNYIT, and oneonta only undefeated so far..skidemore 5-1, RPI 4-1, Plattsburgh 6-1. stevens 4-1 and utica 4-1... IDK

Hey guys Im back...I dont really understand ur arguments because I wasnt saying that Fredonia has been better than SUNYIT i was just saying morrisville, abington, berks, cobleskill, harrisburg come on!!!  Thats like me picking the best team out of the sunyac...  Yea I know SUNYIT is good and Im not saying Fredonia has been amazing but I am saying the SUNYAC is much much better league and fredonia competes.  I guess everyone and every conference has to start somewhere good luck and hope SUNYIT does well this year

Man what a game wish I could have been there... almost 800 people at the game thats alot for a sunyac game...im back guys and everyone is healthy in fredonia..James kane 17 points off the bench...a few stats that are really going to hurt the bengals this year  2-10 from 3 by jake simmons a freshman he must really have the green light and 2 technicals from the other simmons a soph.  and last but not least the bench of buff st. got outscored 33 to 5.  I know it wasnt pretty but Fredonia never wins pretty.

Wow Fredonia really blew it last night.  Didn't play any defense and gave up 83 points and 15 three pointers.  To their defense they do have 3 starters out with injury and suspensions but still.  Hopefully they will be 100% by the time sunyac play comes around.  or else all that talking up I did is gonna make me look real stupid hahaha.

(Cooper did play could however for Fredonia 17 pts. and 9 assists)

I am not saying Fredonia is going to be a D3 powerhouse I am just saying they should have a pretty good year this year (its just a preseason poll) and you are right we will just have to see what happens.  I am just excited  .  What are your guys predictions??

These are my top eight anyone have any input.  I know Fredonia looks a little random but just trust me they should have a solid season this year in the east, four starters back from a team that lost in the SUNYAC championship.
