Some of our posters need to take grammar lessons.

Conference is finally about to start, this is when it gets interesting.

Westminster down 10 with 40 seconds left. They couldnt hit any shots the last 2 minutes and had to start fouling. I think WC can be proud of their performance. Only being down 5 with 2:30 to play on the road vs.a D1 team is nothing to be ashamed of. Vislay finished with 19, Crawford with 14.

Stan Crawford hit a three, got a block on the defensive end and then had an and 1. WC down 4 with 2:20 left

Westminster cut it to 5 with about 5 minutes to go but UT-Martin scored on back to back possesions and is up 10 with 3:28 to play

Westminster is down 41-30 at half. Vislay has 12 and Kovach has 10. WC is in striking distance but needs more stops on the defensive end.

Based on the spotty video feed and poor attendance its safe to say that UT-Martin is one of the worst D1 programs in the country.

Former Westminster Asst Coach, Dylan Dudley, is now an assistant at Tenn-Martin. He is probably giving his current team the inside scoop on the Blue Jays.  It would be VERY nice for the Blue Jays to pull off the upset.

You can watch the game for a small one-time fee of $5.95 on the OVC website.

Battle of the Blue Jays goes to the Westminster Blue Jays. Congrats to Coach Mitchell and his squad for a very big road victory. I would have to think this is one of the better non-conf. victories for a SLIAC team in the last couple years.

Also very impresive performance considering WC has had a couple weeks off. Looked liked a balanced attack, I will have more details in a little while.

ec - did you attend the Eureka - Concorida game earlier this year? WC plays
Concordia next week and I wanted to read your thoughts on Concordia's team?

Hope- I have not seen FU play yet this year but having seen them play many times the past couple years, I understand your statements on certain FU players. They have obvioulsy been one the most talented and best teams in the SLIAC the last couple years but it would be nice to see some maturity and sportsmanship. I by no means want to harp on this issue but its difficult for me to spend a few hours of my time watching young men with bad attitudes. None the less, the majority of these young men do compete the right way and play the game how it should be played.

Im excited to see Eureka play this year. Sounds like they are off to a good start with Bell and Zasada having very good beginnings to their year.

Not much news on the WC side. They had a couple weeks off and will head to Chicago early next week for a couple games vs. Elmhurst & Concordia(Ill). We should get a better idea where WC stands after these two games.

LOTG - I must be confused. You say Branch not only scores but contributes with rebounds, steals, and assists. Then you post the boxscore from the Elmhurst game where he had 2 rebounds, 0 assists, and 0 steals? Am i missing something?????

I think 'Love for the Game' should change his name to 'Love for Josh'

News on the WC side may be slow for the next couple weeks as they dont have a game until Dec. 21st.

The Blue Jays got their second victory of the season by defeating Crown College friday night by 30. I'm not sure how Crown College would stack up against other SLIAC teams but a 30 point win is always nice. Vislay had 15 and Millard had one of his typical games with 10 pts 6 rbs & 6 assists.

The Blue Jays play Neb Wesleyan this evening. Not that anyone is bored on this beautiful saturday evening but here is a link to listen live. The quality of the broadcast is quite good.

I was able to make it to the Central Mo and WC game tonight.  Obviously it is tough for any D3 team to play to #5 ranked D2 team in the nation, but WC did compete and they did play hard.  A positive to take out of this game is Tolson is very good.  He only had 7 points, but he made some tough shots and didn't play like a freshman.

This is the 2nd straight year that Westminster is 0-2, so I wouldn't jump off the ship yet.  The Blue Jays will need to play well in Memphis this weekend to try and even their record to 2-2.

I believe the starters for the WC v. IC game were Vislay, Crawford, Kovach, Mallete, and Gilmore. Not sure why Millard didnt start, maybe because he missed some practices and off season workouts due to soccer. I would assume he will starting shortly.

It appears from the boxscore that the two freshman from Rockbridge had solid first games.

It doesnt get any easier as WC travels to Central MO tommorow evening.

WC gets beat bad on the road by Illinois college 84-63.  I was not there, but heard the game was closer than the final score.  Word is Kovach and Crawford played well, but the team didn't shoot it well and overall didn't play well.
