Truth be told, as evident by today's tournament unveiling, the recently strong OAC programs like Ohio Northern, Capital, and Otterbein would be better off taking their chances in the NCAC or PAC.

NCAC/PAC will not be inviting any of the teams you mentioned into their conference thus there's no other option but to stay in the good'ol OAC.

Like I said, no margin for error when you're automatically starting the season with an 0-1 record.
Maybe that's why ONU is consistently producing in the last decade and JCU and BW are headed the other direction.

RCheck - while I agree that a CHAMPIONSHIP Philosophy/Mindset of a team are essentials to a successful/competitive programs.  That Philosophy/Mindset/Mission must be mutual across a college campus.  Defeatist or complacent mindset cant be solely placed on Athletic Departments but on the whole campus administrations.  Kudos to ONU and Mount Union for collectively working to be CHAMPIONS!

I don't understand all this talk of ONU but none about OTT?  Why is ONU so much better than OTT when OTT beat them i believe week 3.  OTT also beat Capital later in the season and is 2nd in the OAC with head to head wins against ONU and CAP.. Their starting QB was injured during the Marietta game, and was still injured for their MU game, so their originally 3rd string QB had to be thrown in the fire...  Why is no one considering them or does head to head with the same record not matter?

Otters don't belong there...and quit crying about injuries ... all teams deal with the injury bug dont use it as an excuse.

I do hope the OAC gets a 2nd team in ... come'on Ada....ugh never thought i'd say that!

Let's not forget, Wittenberg has given up only 47 points in 9 games.  I know, they haven't played anyone, except maybe Wabash, but 5.22  ppg shouldn't be overlooked, although they may not be in the class of your four.....

Ummmmm yea it should be overlooked.  Witt would give up points to Marietta, Wilmington, and Musky in non-cleanup time of the game.

I'm interested in seeing if the OAC gets a 2nd Team in...In the past the Pool C bid from the conference has been successful in making a run in the tournament except in the past 2 years where the columbus schools dropped the baton.  I hope ONU gets fair consideration.

Am I missing something with regards to poster D.O.C. typing "what a defense" every week and not typing anything else???

Looked at the MUC/OTT box score:

Otterbein didn't pick up a first down until it's sixth possession of the game and immediately followed up that first down by throwing a pick.  MUC was up 35-0 on the Cardinals by that time.  INSANE.

Otterbein was a pretender.

Musky 28, JCU 21.  Oh boy.

Are you kidding me...

Where does one find the selection criteria for Div 3 playoffs?
