I should have "detoured" to the CAL LU - LINFIELD game, it sounds like a great game! The U of R game, well, what can I say..........it was a long drive home!

First of all congrats to Linfield on game well played and good luck in the next round. Now on to jdb... Crying is a strange thing. The refs are well qualified to call a holding penalty when warranted and not call it unnecessarily, even if some spectator (who I will not mention) blogs a self embarrassing whiny inference about karma, a piggy-back ride and crazy coaches. Our boys play like a team, win as a team and on occasion lose as a team. Tonight's loss was heartbreaking but both teams played great and the Kingsmen did the SCIAC proud. Although, no loss is easy but a 21 point loss would have made it much harder. I wonder if karma will rear its ugly head and strike out against UMHB's victory over the Dawgs or offer a simple congratulation.
Response in your email! Don't like to talk trash on the boards. I don't want to ruin my reputation lol!!!

Two SCIAC losses in the 1st round doesn't help in getting more then one team selected in the future... Good effort but tough to go out like that on a blocked kick.
3 missed field goals and one shoelace tackle on Mosier's long run to start the second half made all the difference.

I would say the Field Judge deciding to casually throw some laundry for a mysterious holding call when CLU was rolling and would have been set up on the 5 yard line was a big play as well. Possible win and at least a better shot at a fg. Talking to several fans who were their the CLU staff and offensive line were in disbelief about the call. All in all it doesn't come down to just that call but that was one I thought should be thrown in as a big play.
Great season to CLU and its seniors!!! As many Cat fans are claiming, CLU probably deserved a little better draw this year, however we know we would end up there at some point.
Watching the Redlands game today as well it appeared they were way outmatched by the run game of UMHB. Would have been fun to see the first round match up of CLU and Redlands. Probably be along time before both teams make it again...if ever.
Best of luck to the Cats
Karma is a strange strange thing. Redlands/Cal Lu game .......Cal Lu had one player (who I will not mention) that was literally hanging on our guy during the last drive and the REF WOULD NOT LOOK AT HIM and make the holding call............. even after our coaching staff went crazy the ref purposely looked down the line even though the guy was standing right IN FRONT OF HIM. Cal Lu scored and won the game so what goes around eventually comes around! We were all pulling for you guys to get a "W" for the SCIAC.....Sounded like a great game and you gave them a run for their money........we'll see you in Redlands next year! Go DAWGS!

The trip to Texas was well worth it even though we weren't on the winning side of the scoreboard! Great turnout by the Redlands fans as usual! Always sad to see the Seniors play their last game, glad they got to experience the playoffs. Best part of the day........I got to meet Grey Fox in person! Thank you for the Texas hospitality and hopefully our young players (and coaches) will have grown from this experience and be back in the playoffs next year.
Listened to the Cal Lu/Linfield game on my ride back to the hotel. WOW, what an exciting game and we DAWGS know how it feels to lose a game at the end via a BLOCKED FIELD GOAL KICK!
Safe travels to everyone and enjoy your upcoming Holidays..............Guess we'll all meet up again next fall!

Couldn't get a decent price on a flight to Austin on Friday, so I'm leaving tomorrow morning! Wasn't going to make the trip......but if there is an upset I just couldn't imagine not being there to experience it! GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!I wish everyone safe travels and an injury free weekend. I'll be following the Cal Lu/Linfield game on the old iphone! GOOD LUCK to both SCIAC teams!
So far my flight out of San Francisco has been delayed twice. Not a good start to my trip lol! I know Redlands usually has a big group of parents/family that travel, but most of them our from SoCal and I'm NorCal so I don't know how many will be making the trip!!! I'm pretty loud so u will hear me! Go dawgs!!!

Going to pick up my tickets today!Looking forward to Saturday. Can't. Wait. Nervous, Excited, and ready for some football!
Leaving for Austin in the morning. Making the trip to support the DAWGS and if a huge upset/miracle occurs, I want to be there to witness it! Are the tickets on sale now? Will I be able to buy a ticket at the gate?
Found the answer to my own question! Thanks!
Tickets for the UMHB/Redlands game will go on sale to previous season ticket holders on Wednesday, November 16th, from 3:00-6:00 PM. Season ticket holders may also purchase tickets from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 17th. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Thursday afternoon from 1:00-6:00 PM and then on Friday, November 18th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for seniors and students (ages 3-college age) and will be sold from the Mayborn Campus Center ticket windows off of University Drive. There are no complimentary tickets or passes for NCAA postseason contests.

Also, doesn't it seem more logical to send Redlands, Cal Lutheran and Linfield into the UW-Whiteweater bracket? jameslov001"

Sounds like Redlands is in a pretty tough bracket!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck Dawgs!

Hell of a comeback by Cal Lu tonight. Redlands played a perfect first half and so did Cal Lu in the second. Both teams played with a lot of guts and that's to be commended.
It sucks that the SCIAC can't get two teams in the playoffs because Redlands has an outstanding team. Of course they need to win out and even if that happens history says it's not happening. If they do it's time for the NCAA to do the right thing and give the SCIAC a chance. Go Dawgs!
It was a tough loss. CAL LU Played crappy the 1st half and we played crappy the last 1/2. The new stadium was nice (although not enough room for the Cal Lu Fan base to sit....a lot of standing room only overflow)! The loss would have been easier to swallow if we had played our best, or even "played at all" the second 1/2........it was like watching an entirely different team after the half. So sad to feel like the season is already over after the first conference game.......(totally wrong attitude I know) but usually we don't play Cal Lu until nearer the end of the season...........Congratulations on a great come back and winning your first game in the new stadium!
