NCC is on the road this week??

What a joke!

And equal joke is that the actual final four is being played this week on the left side of the bracket  with UWL vs NCC and UWW vs Wartburg. The right side doesn't have one team that can compete with those 4.

In 2010 the NCC faithful were generally convinced that it did belong in Naperville and not Whitewater. (it wasn't right then or now) so I guess you guys get to experience that fun now too lol

Hope the boys can get a win in Iowa because the only thing worse than driving to the middle of nowhere in Iowa is losing and having to make that drive back.

I reckon this might ruffle some feathers "or knot some hair". As a parent, I don't want the head coach wearing a man bun/long hair and an unshaven face. I know, get out of 20th century.
The look drives me nuts. In my opinion, it smacks of a lack of discipline and degree of laziness.

There may be fewer and fewer of parents like me, but they are out there. Records aside, if Jennings comes to recruit my son one day and Lance Leipold or Jace Rindahl or Bob Berezowitz comes the next day- Jennings is starting in a deep hole.

Yes, I do know there are/were great high character coaches with long hair- Swider from Wheaton as an example.

I'm pretty old school myself, but that is one pretty broad brush, my man!

Well, he kind of crushes his own argument with the Swider example, who is the single best recruiter I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot). There were 500+ former players from the 80's on at his retirement dinner. And I can tell you he has had less than 50 haircuts in his 35+ years.

We're about 25 years away from not having to worry about this anymore. I can't wait, imagine judging a persons character that way. Better yet, don't trust that person who has the suit on, they're probably lying.

Based on last years performance and playoff exit I thought UWW would be 0-3, and I'm very happy to be wrong.

UMHB is lucky they have a cream puff schedule to tune things go outside of HSU. UWW meanwhile begins the conference gauntlet.

Too many false starts. He didn't seem to initiate a slide. 18,951, new record!

Going to be at the game with my wife on Friday. First in person game in a decade, her first game ever!

I'm hearing Paul Chryst is out at Wisconsin.
Chryst is out and Leonard has been named HC for the remainder of the season.  Will LL's name be in the mix for new HC it's a better fit for him than Nebraska. I would also see Dave Aranda of Baylor in the mix.

Leipold would be better served personally by not coming to Wisconsin as long as Alvarez controls the show.

Barry retired last year.

He's still the one running the show behind the scenes. But they need to get rid "Wisconsin football" and the admissions standards or people need to understand we're going for a Big 10 championship berth and that's it outside of fluke years (like how they could have made an actual run in 2017 with a serviceable QB).

WIAC still firmly planted rent free in retagent's head I see.

At a time when going to a vastly overpriced private school looks like a terrible choice, having the football issue compounds the inadequacy.

With everyone taking about "how cold" it's going to be at the game, I get amused having sat though the ice bowl against UMHB in 2007.

I was there as well...I remember MHB fans walking around in regular shoes and less-than-ideal coats. And I think that was the game the team forgot their cleats, or something like that.

I love when those texas teams come up here in the middle of December...it typically doesn't end well for them.

In our defense (wierdly), I don't think it was the weather that beat us (and many others) it was the fact that you guys were better than all of us haha. I was at the ice bowl, can't say I knew the weather was bad enough to garner a name but I would say we played better in those conditions than we did earlier in the year when you handed it to us in the regular season.

Nobody expected that first game, from what I remember there were some turnovers and then it snowballed. I think everyone expected the first game to be like the semi finals game.

Yup, I remember being at both 2007 games. The frigid game (you can't call it the Ice Bowl, that designation is 100% taken elsewhere) was a slugfest. The MHB option did not endure the weather very well, with a little input from Raebel, Borzick, Ogriz, etc....

It was the personal ice bowl since we all froze, especially my friend who didn't dress appropriately. I did and was still almost at frost bite territory.

I am a Central College fan and I was at last Saturday's game at UWW.  Since it appears that conditions for this Saturday's game will be even colder, wetter, windier and later in the day, I feel compelled to offer some survival advice.  If I had to go to the game, I would bring an empty hot water bottle with me.  Then, when I got inside the stadium, I would go to the men's room on the visitors' side and fill it up.  The water that comes out of the hand washing spigot is scalding. You will probably need a cup or something since I don't know if a hot water bottle will fit in the basin.  Anyway, take your toasty hot water bottle up to your seat in the stands and stick it on your lap under your coat.  It won't save your face, feet, and hands from frost bite, but if you can keep the chill off of your core, it may save you from hypothermia. I don't want to sound like I spent the game in the men's room, but it is good to know that ones at UWW are comfortably heated.

If you thought that was cold you should have been at the 2007 semi against UMHB, anyone there will tell you how cold that was.
