I was able to take in the SP/WW game last night - and what a great game it was.  Regardless of the statistics it was a dawg fight - always is down in WW, but once Hendrickson and Bundy fouled out, the game was over.  Give them credit, they both played a hard fought game.

Also reported in WW yesterday, Thompson will redshirt and be back next year - if she comes back strong, look for her and Berg to be a tough inside duo.

Just can't say enough good things about the passion and drive the pointer women showed down the stretch - and it's exciting to think they will only loose 1 senior (Windt) and bring back Flease, Peterson, Bandow and Averkamp.  Gonna be a fun group to watch again next year :)

Lots of excitement in the WIAC this weekend.  Congrats to Superior on getting that first conference win and hopefully a bit of confidence.  The buzzer beater for ST was crazy!  My personal favorite moment was on the YouTube clip with Hirssig jumping off the bench with such intensity as that shot trickled in - it's fun watching that kind of passion :)

Caught the game in SP - was a dawg fight but the Pointers got the W.  I would really challenge anyone to find a player with better work ethic, hustle and love for the game than #4 Andrea Flease.  She is so fun to watch, never takes a play off and a very intricate part of the Pointer program.

Good for Stout taking RF in to OT.  Sounds like it was a battle, but look for WW to challenge River come saturday.

Shocking score out of PL with EC dominating the Pioneers.  Tonja must have enstilled some hard work over the holiday break, and hopefully they can keep the TOs to a minimum in their upcoming games and continue to bring home the W's.

Not sure what happened in Point, but it must have been a cold night, shooting only 35% from the floor.  They've got to tighten it up for Saturday when LX comes to Berg.

SP picks up 2 more victories winning the Land Of Magic Classic.  Both close games close however:

59-56 vs. Concordia
54-52 vs. UMW

Hopefully the streak will continue on 1-6-10 when they take on the Titans.
