The real question is how far will any of these teams go and who has the potential to take home the title. Cortland is the heavy favorite going into each year with their resume of years of dominance. However cortland doesn't have a stud pitcher this year that can single handedly dominate a game, which leaves it up to their offense to produce victories, which is possible but wont be easy for them when they face nearly every teams number 1 pitcher. New paltz has limited talent, its freshman pitcher chris chismar is an exceptional freshman, however he is not as dominant as other pitchers that will be in the tournament such as mlb prospect dave filak(who has a chance to break chismar's record against oswego this sat). The playoff tourney will come down to the draw of the seeds, oneonta has an automatic victory when filak pitches which will weaken other teams if they waste their number 1 in the same game. My advice would be to save your pitching if you face Filak, this young kid has enough talent and heart to beat any d3 team in the nation and even many d1 teams which is why the mlb scouts love him. The sunyac championship to be taken down by either cortland or oneonta.
