Have to agree with Tarheel on this one.  Umpire blew the game for O-State.  Though it seemed NP had the heart to win that game, they would have came up just short if umpire had kept his eyes open.  But unfortunatly we all forget that awful umpiring is apart of the game and thats why we love it.  New Paltz just can't hit in the clutch or play defense, its pathetic when you look at the numbers.  15 hits and 2 runs in a 4-2 loss in game 2.  Can't even do that in a video game.  Not to mention 10 errors in the series.  Hats off to Oneonta, I think they've answered all pre-season questions.  Great defensive team and they play with a lot of heart.  Came back to beat Chismar on a day where he had everything working for him.  New Paltz and Brockport continue to under-achieve to this point, but both teams are fully capable of making a run.  The SUNYAC is truely one of the most entertaining conferences to follow. 

Never one to doubt Cortland, was just curious as to why they're not 26-0 at this point.  Days like today proves how good they really are.  But now Oswego over Brockport? Still have questions about Brockport.  New Paltz couldn't beat Yeshiva today if they had to. 5 recorded errors, 2 or 3 other questionable plays. Scored 5 of their 7 runs in 9th off very weak bullpen. Tyson pitched better than numbers show. 8inn 10h 3r 3er 0bb 1k .. Tomorrow should be fun with Chismar on the mound for New Paltz.  Just another day in the SUNYAC ..

Big weekend for Oneonta and New Paltz.  After almost stupidly ruining their own field, New Paltz looks to make a jump in the standings.  Many were doubtful of Oneonta pre-season with all the off-season drama but they look good to this point.  Should be a great series. 

Btw, whats up in Cortland land? They don't seem as polished as usual. Same can be said for the guys from Brockport.  Is plattsburgh really that good? Don't think so. Next 3 weeks should be fun to watch!

Hats off to New Paltz, and yes get used to seeing them in the tourney! Only graduating 2 seniors, both of which were not big part of team. D1 transfer, ray courtney making a comeback next year after two arm surgerys, pre surgery was 91-93mph.  If he's healthy and ready to go, him and chismar 1-2 punch will be tough to beat. Number 3 will be just as capable in grann, pinnola, or schmidt.  Good luck to o-state, brockport, nd c-state. Someone give cortland a run for their money!

Being that the Plattsburgh/brockport series has more playoff weight then the brockport/oneonta series, why wouldnt that be finished first?  Now a tired brockport team with no pitching left has to play a freh plattsburgh team on sunday. Looks as if New Paltz will now have to take 2 from cortland if they wanna make it to SUNYACS

Brockport has 3 vs. oneonta, 2 vs. plattsburgh, and one vs. new paltz ... new paltz has 1 vs. fredonia, 1 vs. brockport, and 3 vs. cortland, plattsburgh has 2 vs. brockport. Any predictions who will get the last two seeds?

A. Grann almost complete game shutout, gave up only run in the 9th.  8.1 inn, 5 h, 3 bb 7 k. Oswego bats were dead and New Paltz hit in the clutch. Quick, relatively clean game on both sides.  Teams will play the doubleheader tomorrow due to rain.

Plattsburgh is a decent team at best.  I will give them credit, they are winning games, but honestly I don't have a clue how.  They boasted their 18th in the country ranking and then got walloped by New Paltz 14-11 in their first conference game.  New Paltz 'supposedly' is not good at all.  They're better than previous years, no doubt, but to give up 14 runs to them is a little ridiculous, especially if you're ranked 18th in the COUNTRY!.  Granted Plattsburgh can swing the bat as well as anyone, but you can't always out-hit your middle school 'esque' pitching.  Good luck playing against good teams in the play-offs, because you'll need it.

If New Paltz sweeps fredonia this weekend, Sunday's game between NP and Brockport becomes 'win and in'.  Other than that, let's get ready for the playoffs

Was at the oneonta new paltz game.  Filak seemed to have an off day but still went 7 strong with 9k's.  New paltz couldnt play defense to save there own lives reason being why the scores are so one-sided.  Cant take anything away from oneonta though, they kept the pressure on the weak defense all day and hit the ball well at times. 

Chismar pitched game 2 and coming off the 20 k game didnt have his best stuff either. Stuck out 9 through 5 and a third but got hit pretty hard.  If oneonta stays hot they will be a tough competitor in the playoffs.  Crazy thing is if New paltz wins out, they make it in over brockport because they'll have swept brockport durin the season. Should be an exciting final weekend.
