D-Mac,

Besides the fact that EMU beat Ferrum.

donho,

1)  Thanks
2) Due to Austin Twine not playing with an injury, EMU brings the exact same team back next year.

3) GO EMU!

EMU up 3 with 13 sec.

EMU up four with four minutes left.

Broadway high School basketball is on a tear.  GO GOBBLERS.

I wasn't at the game, but according to the DNR, the technical on Coach Dean wasn't handled properly.

Typical ODAC officiating.  If the ref would have blown his whistle when he gave Coach a T, then RMC wouldn't have been able to hit  a three. (the play would have been dead) I have never seen someone get a T but not stopping the game at the exact moment.

Looks like EMU knocks off #2 seed RMC by a score of 69- 64.

Way to go EMU!

EMU escapes with a 5 pt victory over rival BC.

Wow, another great performance from EMU and I hoped they learned something tonight.  --How to win without needing to shoot the 3-ball. -- EMU did have two players go down with injury, their only Senior, Austin Twine and a freshman.  Twine seems serious.

While reading some posts, especially from Guilford fans, it appears that not everyone is a believer of EMU.  I can understand that.  I have seen EMU play four or five times this year and the first time I came away amazed but skeptical because I didn't think they could keep up the pace of play and their shooting percentage, however, after each time I watch them, I gain a little more confidence that this is the real deal.  EMU Mens Basketball is freakin 19-3 and undefeated against ranked opponents this year.  Long time posters, really think about that. EMU Mens Basketball has arrived.

Great work Coach Dean, staff and players!

EMU wins it at Roanoke College, 123-73 !!  When is the last time that an ODAC team lost by 50 points at home?

Has an ODAC team ever before lost by 50 points on their own court, or would this be the record?  I've checked some online stats for Lynchburg College and, as bad as they were for 7 seasons (2002-2009), the Hornets' biggest loss AT HOME was by only 46 points (to Guilford on 12/1/07).

I can't find any more information on this game and I am not sure if it was home or away, but in the 1993-94 season, EMC lost to Mulenburg College by 62 points.  EMC was 2-22 that year and 0-18 in the ODAC.  EMU has come a long way under Coach Dean.

EMU has picked up their defense while maintaining there offense and led RC by a score of 94-54 with over 10 minutes left in the second.  EMU can flat out score!

EMU is off to a quick start, beating RC 30 - 9 with 10 minutes left in the first.

Hasa,

If you watch several of EMU's games this year, you will see that at times, EMU lives and sometimes dies by the 3 point shot, and that includes NBA range and beyond. Each game that I have seen they have won and I have always walked away amazed by the amount of three's they take, make and the distance of the shots.  If EMU can get into the dance, they can really make some noise as long as they are shooting decent.

Great win for EMU1

Holy Smokes...EMU is up by 30!

Deanslist,

I agree.  EMU is good but I hope they don't become over confident.

hasa,

I agree with you. Averett isn't as good as last year. However, EMU didn't just sneak by them, they held a 35 point lead over them until they brought in their bench and won by 20.

The real season starts after Christmas and then we can see how good EMU really is.
