"....full of D1 players that couldn't cut it....."

Their HS coach is an idiot.

He has no clue....my kid played at 3 levels. There are SO many reasons kids transfer. He also may not understand that the Mount does a great job of recruiting. There are so many reasons kids leave or decide to play D3 and its not always due to their ability to play football. My kid was fine talent wise when he left Syracuse. in the two deep coming out of spring his red shirt frosh year.

Coaches like that bother me a little. Guys like that need to research and understand the culture of college football more before they comment as he did.

Bein_86,

Your son was indeed a great talent on many levels! :)

Thank you Raider68. He will now try to achieve success at another level. We will see.

I want to thank certain OAC coaches for first of all their interest in my nephew a 6' 265 lb OL/DL from Marion Pleasant HS. Coaches Keheres (Vince), Coach Hallett and Coach Snell have said they would love for him to be part of their 2014 class.

They have also stated that they will be an advocate for Trey and professional football and said some very nice things about him in creative ways. Their compliments and comments are well received and will help in the difficult process of pursing his dreams. For teams to be able to talk to those who game planned against him, not just his own coaches, will mean so much.

The kids are better than they get credit for. I watched the combine, especially the WR's, of course, Just based on numbers I know some guys who would have performed favorably over there just from the OAC.

Best of luck to all of those OAC players pursuing additional opportunities in football after their college careers. I have loved watching you play and wish you the best !!

8-2 would be great for OTT but ONU has played better lately...OTT has had a lot of injuries but outside of UMU (not surprising) the defense has carried them. Even just giving up 21 to the Berg is not bad.

Tough year for my kid. Missed two full games and major portions of 4 more. The only games he has played "pretty healthy" are BW, first half of Muskingum and Marietta. Galluadet out, Wilmington only 4 series, the Berg (half of game, did not know his ribs were broken), UMU out, Cap part of game but in lots of pain. Tough for a senior season..but I am proud of him. Should have sat against Berg and Cap but knew those teams would be looking to contain him so he knew it would help the team even though he was doubled over in pain while the defense was on the field. Proud to see him gut it out, tough to watch however...

Sorry I have not visited more often, just a difficult season individually. Team success has been great however and Coach Doup is a very good example for these young men. Truly a TEAM !!

I have nothing to say. LOL...just football, so many other things in this world to worry about right now...does not seem very important I guess. I did not even know who was starting at QB for Mount. I asked my kid about them the other day and he did not know either...kinda funny...just logged in today cause he told me they did an interview with him and thought I would see what he had to say....he did okay.

A couple of good videos that Harrison Ralph of Otterbein's media department put together for the football team.

According to MaxPreps, Piloto averaged 15 ppg his senior year of high school and 14 ppg as a junior on the basketball court.

how many turnovers a game does he average  :-X    ;)    ;D

probably not many, Mount basketball is far from any championship games in the near future

Btw, MUC LB Arthur Smith played in the inaugural Hansen Bowl this weekend in VA.  I can't seem to find any stats or anything about the game.  If anything one last game for the Raider LB.

I was curious about this game and what it was about and how it went. I also was wondering about the game in which D2 and D3 players play against a team from Mexico. Trey was asked to play but declined due to having another year left.

An interview Trey did, I was proud of the way he handled himself.

Hope everyone had great holidays !

I like the easy smile and humble yet confident attitude.  Trey seems like a nice young man.  I'll look forward to seeing him play next fall.

Thank you for the kind words. Have a great offseason. (if there really is one)...

Bein_86,

Looking forward to seeing your son again in 2012! He is a great receiver and will  be a major factor
this fall!  :)

Let's hope the Cards can rebound from a tough luck year and win those close ones in 2012.

I hope the Polar Bears beat your Cardinals by 20+ so you can indeed win those close ones in 2012.   ;D

AH HA !! Well done Mr. Check !  Actually I had you on one of the end of our not so close games too ! Just the other way.. ;)
