I believe SJF and John Carroll have scheduled a 2 year deal starting in 2015

Not sure what made me think of this, I think after realizing that John Carroll is another Catholic School.....but when I went to Ithaca we had a priest (Father Tom) who would say the Lord's Prayer before every game (even though Ithaca was far from a Catholic School).  As a young Catholic I did not think anything of it at the time, as the football team was mostly Catholic as well.  Do Ithaca players still say the Lord's Prayer before games?

My last season was 2009 and we still said it before each game.  Not sure if it has changed since.

Any word on the Bombers scrimmage with St. Lawrence?  Bomber3?

Can't wait to get to Butterfield Stadium on Saturday.
Hey TTR - Bomber scrimmage against St. Lawrence was ok from what I hear.  Still some work to be done but overall it was ok - not great, not terrible.  D. Ruffrage did not play after an unfortunate allergic reaction to a bee (no I am not kidding).  His face swelled up like Will Smith's in Hitch.  The run game was improved and as expected, the defense is stellar - especially the secondary and LBs.  St. Lawrence is an improved team so it is tough to tell how it went without any other information.  But overall, I am told it could have been better and could has been worse.  We will find out more Saturday - I'm sure I'll run into you in the Smiddy lot!
I'm assuming Hendel started/is going to start against Brockport?

From Brain Delaney

Neumann's the guy under center, Gilfedder beats out Clarke at LB--both will play, and sophomore Sal Sulla starts at running back. Bombers will start a freshman at OL and DT.

QB is obviously the shocker. This is the second year in a row Hendel's lost a training camp battle to start--and I heard he was ahead of Zappia during the 2009 season. Also interesting how Sulla passed Clay Ardoin, who split time last season with Dan Ruggerio.

Bombers will be very young and inexperienced on offense. Defense will have to carry the load

Wow.  Surprising news out of Bomber camp.  I really thought Hendel was the guy this year.

On the plus side, it'll be nice to see a Sophomore QB settle in for the next few years instead of the QB Carousel we have seen the past 3 years.

Also very surprised about Ardoin.  I played with him his Freshman year and really thought he had a promising career.  Coach Welch likes to get two running backs touches in most cases, so I think/hope we'll see at least a marginal does of Ardoin.  He's a tough runner.

Hopefully, a young South Hill squad will be able to weather the early storm and put together a successful season.

Thanks, Bomber3.  Too bad about Ruff, but I saw a picture and there was at least some comedic value.  Glad to hear that the run game is improved, that's going to be a huge, huge factor this season if we're going to have any success.   I'm assuming Hendel started/is going to start against Brockport?

I'll absolutely see you in Smiddy.  We might have even talked Lander into making the trip.

Hey fellas...good to be back.  Looking forward to what should be a great year out of the E8.  Great to hear that Ruff is going to be back, he's a huge weapon for the Bombers and will be a big asset to Hendel/Neumann/Griffin (please, someone, step up).  I'm excited to hear that the o-line came to camp "beefed" up.  The run game is going to need to be much better this year.

Anyways, can't wait to get to Butterfield Stadium next weekend and see some football - I feel like it's been forever.

Go Bombers.

I wasn't sure Max.  I just didn't want to waste 10 pages explaining it to them.  Better safe than sorry.*

*You'll notice my lack of the "joke" tag.  That's because this NOT a joke.

I figure we might as well tell them when we're being serious too.
Thanks Touch. How is your old roommate?  Please give my best to Rock.  Sure the two of you brought a whole new meaning to "Greek life" at Ithaca. ;)
PS:  Notice no Joke tag. That's because this is NOT a joke.

I see it took you two posts to get this out.  Multitasking must be a grad level class at C-State.

Joke:

What are these?

Response:

The kind of jugs no current C-State player has ever seen or touched.

TD AU out of the wildcat.  31-10. 3rd down conversions really the story of this drive

AU driving.  3 3rd down completions on this drive and 8-10 on the day.  IC needs a big stop.

This has to be one of those "that's as bad as we can possibly play, but we're still in it" moments for IC.  Just like Utica last year.  Unfortunately....AU isn't UC.  Hopefully IC can come out, get a stop and punch one in and make this interesting.

It starting snowing there and it looks cold.  Really cold.

24-10 at half

3rd and 11...AU converts.
