I think either Willamette or PLU could beat Bethel.
I'll let Warthog speak for the Willamette scenario.
As for PLU, who knows. But the Lutes only won 27 - 20 against MIAC doormat Hamline (1-9). Bethel beat the Pipers 52 - 0 and allowed only 18 yds or total offense to the 584 they gained. So yeah, we can't say for certain until they play on the field, but if I was a betting man...I'd put money on the Royals.
Of course after Saturday's victory over UST, the logical question might be, could Linfielfd even beat Bethel??
I'll say it till I'm blue in the face but PLU this year was a completely different team on the road than they were at home. At home: handled CLU, Whitworth, beat Willamette, and gave Linfield all they could handle. On the road, the 'Lutes struggled vs poor teams....they even were in a battle at Pacific before putting the Boxers away. If PLU went to Bethel then I would take the Royals 10 out of 10 times...at PLU it would have been a different story.
Which certainly sets up an interesting scenario for the Lutes next year when they have to visit CLU, Whitworth, Willamette, and Linfield. Every year, one NWC school gets an incredible home schedule. This year it was PLU. Next year, it's Willamette.
Fun side note: for those who didn't know, the NWC has the conference schedules up all the way through 2013 at this link:

Looks like Linfield, L&C, and UPS already have their 2011 schedules figured out, and Willamette will welcome George Fox into the NWC in 2013.
