The QB you saw at Montclair is the future of the program, he was a stud at Walington, transfered to DePaul, won a state championship and was a preferred walk on at the University of Pittsburgh, I think his dad played in the NFL and brother plays at Army. That said, he's a young transfer, with the height, size, smarts and a big arm, MSU had one scrimmage and a few weeks of camp so there will be a learning curve, he threw a 45 yard gem that was dropped for what would have been an easy TD. In addition, our beloved Coach O'Conner retired last year, we do have a new offensive coordinator, once again little bit of a learning curve for the returners. In my opinion MSU needed a game like this to see who is going to step up when their back is against the wall and to force them to play as a team, which they ended up doing. There is much talent, young talent on the both sides of the ball, if they can come together, MSU will be able to compete next week....PS our RB is an absolute stud, he had over 300 all purpose yards last night, should be considered for offensive player of the week
