I just wanted to say sorry to all my Bishop Family and my NCAC Family. I have been off the boards for awhile and just getting back on here. Glad to see the Bishops get a W on Saturday.

What is everyone forcasting for this weekend against Wabash?

Will anyone be tailgating?

Back to the Bishops: 0-11 vs UAA WOW...thats horrible...I just don't understand this team...I dont think flipping the schedule would do much of anything because we would still lose to the Wabashs..Witts...Ghenys...and Woosters. THINGS NEED CHANGED NOW!!!! Prez Rock needs to get on board.

Hey...Joe Pa is out at Penn State how about we contact him for a Coaching Job. At least the players would be rejuvenated with him and want to win for a old guy.

Aueagle...Yea I thought so too that he sounded a little frustrated as well. With such a nice stadium with all the new improvements they have made you would think they could possibly do a broadcast like Wabash's.

I saw pictures on Hiram's website of their new stadium...looks great. Was there for a game few seasons ago and thought it was crap. It looked worse than a small high schools field. And the bleachers you are right they were not very good. I hate the stadiums with stands only on one side it does not look very good from a presentation standpoint and makes one team look all alone.

Yes the Bishops have momentum and it makes it look like this season is a savior if they win against Hiram this weekend. They would finish 3-0 and have the MO to the MEN to the TUM. But I really don't think anyone should be happy with a 4-6 campaign. To be honest with you if that were to happen I have a feeling that over there in Delaware, OH people would be happy about that. I just don't get how you can when you don't have any signature wins during the season. I mean your best win is against a mediocre Denison squad. Then wins against Kenyon, Oberlin, and Hiram. Combined those schools have 3 wins combined. So yes you should beat those teams. I would have felt better if we finished 4-6 and beat at least one good squad. Wittenberg, Wabash, Carnegie Mellon, Chicago all beat us badly.

The offseason will be very interesting. I don't see any change this year. I just don't. I would love to see Roger Ingles light a fire under them with a little job insecurity but you know the bar is set for wins against the Lords, Yeomen, and Puppies. As long as we win those games and beat the Puppies by at least 22 we had a good season. UNBELIEVABLE.

AUEAGLE- I was wondering myself why AD Roger Ingles, Basketball Coach Mike Dewitt, and Baseball Coach Fody Frentsos were announcing the game. The two students who announced the games in the past were not very good. They did a very poor job interviewing the former Bishop. I was glad to see more knowledgeable people calling a game. Coach Fody Frentsos did play for the Bishops and Coach and was great to hear his insight on the Bishop Football Program. Coach Dewitt did a great job for being a Basketball Coach announcing Football. Did you happen to catch any negative comments by Roger Ingles?

It is Puppy Week in Delaware. I was not aware they were 7-93 in there last 100 games. That is very shocking. Will this be a close game or blow out?

I agree with you AUEAGLE...Oberlin is very undermanned. You have to feel for them. They played good today and let OWU back into the game. Oberlin is a very good Football team. Injuries have hurt them. Their QB did not start the game but came in and played very well. I agree with you ill take this victory as well but I do not think it was a game OWU should have won. Huddleston did play very well with a couple sacks with his broken hand. If only we had a full team of them and coaches like Huddleston.

Hopefully there is not a let down to the Puppies. But you never know in this league.

Also to add from the game in Delaware...

This is OWU's first winning streak since 2009...WOW

In the last couple of years (I could only find past schedules on Docsports.com) I do not know where to find past OWU schedules. But the Bishops have beaten Kenyon 4X, Denison 2X, Allegheny 1X, Hiram 4X, and Oberlin 2X

Final in Delaware...

OWU 30 Oberlin 23

OWU scores the go ahead touchdown with a QB sneak with 50 Seconds left in the game and get the 2 point conversion with a pass from Espinosa to Eric Wall.

Oberlin drove at the end of the game got the ball down to the Bishop 25 but the ball was picked off my LB Tyler Sheetz.

OWU has themselves a winning streak....When was the last time OWU had a winning streak?

Oberlin 23 OWU 22 blocked extra point 5 mins to go in the game

Oberlin 16 OWU 9 with a touchdown pass from Espinosa to Mogilnicki

couple minutes later

Oberlin 16 OWU 16 with a touchdown run from Kevin Herman

We got a game in Delaware

Oberlin 10 and OWU 3 at the half
Bishops very bad punting in the first half and offense not getting anything going.
Penalties have hurt them so far.
Oberlin with a fumble at the Bishops 1 or 2 yard line with a Bishops recovery to take the game into halftime 10-3

AUEAGLE- AD Roger Ingles, Basketball Coach Mike Dewitt, and Baseball Coach Fody Frentsos announcing the game did you know?
Wonder if anything negative will be said by AD Roger Ingles.

10-0 Yeomen leading the Bishops late in the first quarter.

AUEAGLE- Do you hear Roger Ingles announcing game?

I agree with you guys...It is terrible to have a player be named to PLayer of the Week and not have a photo of him on there. That speaks volume of the program. The kid played very well last weekend against a HORRIBLE Kenyon squad and can't even get a photo. What a shame on OWU's part.

Anyone that was at the Hiram-Wooster game today...I know you guys took care of Hiram but how good or how bad are they? OWU ends their season with Hiram in two weeks from today at Hiram. OWU has taken care of Hiram in years past but I am just curious to see how bad/good they are.

Nike:

I have spoken with former players several times over the past couple of years. I don't think the players coming back to see a game or a couple games a year at OWU or seeing OWU play on the road has anything to do with Hollway. Whether they love him or hate him they would come or not come because of hollway. Players come back to see their former teammates, friends, and just the team playing. I have spoken with many players and it seems that the players think he is a great guy outside of Football but really don't agree with his coaching philosophy. Like AUEAGLE, I have talked to players and parents each year when I go to games and after games I may ask what the problem is just to see what parents think and they just don't understand what he is trying to do on the Football field. When asking the players they agree. They don't understand his offensive philosophies. Like today, OWU killed a 0-8 Kenyon football team. The team played great but you have to remember who they are playing against. Looking back at the past schedules the only teams that OWU consistently beats is Kenyon, Oberlin, Hiram, occasionally Denison. They don't have any upset wins, they don't have any signature wins. Beating the same teams repeatedly gets old. This team was probably fired up because they haven't won since Week 1 but what satisfaction do you get from beating these teams. Players want to prove how good they are. Back to your question if they loved the coach more players would come back, less would transfer, less would quit.

Hopefully we beat the puppies...either beat Oberlin or hiram not both
