I have not been able to watch, but did the defense for Wheaton score some of the points or did the offense score all 52 points.

Final from Langhorst Field
Wheaton 27
Elmhurst 24
Nice broadcast online. Its great to be able to Watch D3 football online!
To me this had upset potential written all over it going into the game. Wheaton almost never plays well at Elmhurst - at least 2 huge upsets over the past decade.
Wheaton was without Rocky Gingg and their 2 top receivers.
Wheaton played a pretty poor 1st half. Wheaton's opening drive goes all the way down the field on a long drive, but ends with a INT in the endzone. You can't do that. Elmhurst takes the subsequent drive down for a TD - how many times does that happen? After a INT in the endzone, the opponents next drive results in a TD. Meador threw a 37 yard pick 6 in the second quarter to give Elmhurst a 24-14 lead. Wheaton had 75 yards in penalites and 2 turnovers in the 1st half.
Scottie Williams has 15 carries for 105 yards in the 1st half for Elmhurst, but 15 carries in the 2nd half only net 54 yards.
Elmhurst will be "kicking" themselves over the mistakes they made in the 2nd half. 2 key turnovers and special team bunders.
Key sequence in the 4th quarter:
1. Elmhurst drives 13 plays, 69 yards and over 6 minutes down to the Wheaton 11, but miss the 27 yard FG.
2. Wheaton take over after the missed FG, gets a first down, but then is stopped on a 4th and 1 at their own 45 yard line. Huge momentum shift to Elmhurst.
3. Elmhurst takes over on downs, but Wheaton defense holds and Elmhurst punts and has chance to pin Wheaton deep in their own territory with 8 minutes left in the game. Elmhurst gets a 36 yard punt, but Langs returns it 39 yards - to the Wheaton 46 yard line.
4. Wheaton takes 5 plays to go 54 yards and take a 27-24 lead.
Instead of Elmhurst leading 27-21 with only 7 minutes remaining, Wheaton takes the lead 27-24. Wheaton's defense came up BIG in the 2nd half.
As I posted earlier in the week, I believe the Wheaton secondary made the biggest impact. Scottie Williams had a huge 1st half with over 100 yards rushing in the 1st half alone, but Wheaton holds Furco to 12 of 30 for 173 yards.
Very Good Sumary! The game never had a dull moment on either side. It was great to watch on-line. Very nice job to the Elmhurst Broadcast Crew - Very Professionally done.

29 - 7 Wheaton Start of 4th quarter.
What happened to make it 20 to 13. I was only gone for a couple of minutes?
I meant 29 - 13.
