It was a good time at the Coach Strong event. Was also glad to see Edzo, Joe. C. and Eddie B. from the '76 team.
To Ronk and Nepafan: I should have made a better effort to meet up with you guys. Perhaps at the Long Center during the upcoming season.

Will be heading to Bethlehem Pa., on Monday, for the Carlesimo Dinner, Coach Strong Event. I'm hoping a few '76 Rock'n Roll Royals show up.

Best of luck to the new Devils coach, Melissa Brooks . Also, congratulations to Jenn Noon's new assignment as AD. Based on my view, she's a class act and most deserving of the job.

On the subject of contributions, I'll be heading to Allentown Pa. in June to attend the Coach Strong / PJ Carlesimo event. Anyone else ?

Ha ! The Royals alumni "pick-up" game didn't seem to sport anyone older than 25. Either that, or I'm just getting a lot older and everyone looks like a kid to me.

Here's a belated but sincere note of congratulations to Bill Klika, FDU's long time AD. His retirement was announced back in late May. Bill was a 44 year employee of FDU Madison. I will always remember him as a person who deeply cared for FDU Devil scholar athletes. My view is that he was a personable and cordial professional who I will always show due respect. I hope the existing coaches of the Madison school thanked him for the chance he gave them to learn from his mentorship.

Congrats to the Lady Royals ! They continued their tradition as a class team; great sportsmanship to go along with their play. Glad I had the chance to see them in action a few times this season. My best wishes to the seniors as well..

Took most the fam to the Long Center on Saturday. It was worth wading through the multiple rivers from the parking garage to the gym. Thankfully, it was so hot in the building that shoes & clothing dried quickly. Vitkus was a beast on the court and the energy was great from fans ! Agree, let's hope the 1st round is somewhere commutable for NJ, PA, & NY.

A classless act by the FDU coach and Devil players. There's no place in college sports for this garbage.

Heading to the Electric City tomorrow for the game against Catholic. Despite the academic intersession break, I hope there's decent fan support for the Royals.

Thanks, Dave. Yes, a complete oversight on my part as I was more focused on looking for players from the traditional MAC schools.

No pre-season All American selections from the MAC. Perhaps it good fodder for a major chip on one's shoulder.

A special congratulations to Eireann Anastasi as she is a candidate for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. As mentioned before, and without me knowing her or seeing her play, my sense is that she possessed a special sense of sportsmanship on the court that may have set her apart from others.
