And I might add The Bishop was a fine RB back in his day. However, while I see and respect his allegiance to H and the coaching staff, he cannot be happy with how OUR alma matter has performed in the years since we left. It's not the OWU we grew to know and if he is not upset with the current status of the program, well, then something is wrong. TU is correct along with others, you just have to read the post game write ups and see how many frosh are starting year after year. While I would like to say this is great recruiting, it is cause for concern and has been happening for a long time. I don't want to pile on but it is past time for something to happen. As a wise man once said, the numbers don't lie and while I appreciate the aspect of D3 football being more than wins and losses, I am just not sure I can accept that. 12 wins in 5 years is unacceptable.

Eagle, you have my support with regards to OWU. Interesting that an OWU coach sent you an email berating you for your posts. Would like to think they are more professional than that. Apparently some feelings have been hurt in Delaware.
The Bishop, come on man. Time to take off the red/black attack colored glasses. There is absolutely no excuse for the OWU football team to have 0 wins this year. The athletic program is better than that. The job is not getting done, it's that simple. Whether it's the scheme being run, the lack of players which equals poor recruiting, the lack of motivation, etc, it all points back to coaching. They are responsible for all the things just mentioned. Sorry if feathers are ruffled but let's call a spade a spade. OWU's record in this decade is 48-59. They have only had 3 seasons above .500 in the last 10 years and have not had a winning season since 2005 and currently have 12 wins since 2005. That's 2.4 wins per year. Of course that number will go up with a couple wins to end the year. That is not even close to acceptable. If you were only going to win 20% of your cases, I don't think you would remain at your firm.
I have no ill will towards the coaching staff. I just want to see the program be successful and competitive again. Is that too much to ask?

I have sat back and watched long enough. What a disaster this season has become in Delaware. OWU is too proud of an institution both academically and athletically to continue to allow such inept performances. I think the current regime would agree that a change needs to be made. At least that is the former coach that I knew but that was years ago. It has been painful to watch such mediocrity and now, I can't even use that word to describe the OWU program. I am sure the players are working hard every day to get better and the staff is coaching them up but it might be time to face the music. Whatever is being done there is not working. And don't get me started on all the frosh in starting positions year in and year out. I think you start there and can see where a lot of the problems start. An 18 yr old kid, not completely mature yet playing against 21 sometimes 22 yr old mature men. I could go on but just had to chime in. It will be an interesting watch to see if changes are made in the future.
