Wartburg fans are silent during Luther week? Worried about a potential losing streak to the Norse?  ;D

The only worry may be from the nausuea induced by that butt-ugly blue field...

There are pills for that!!

Parity rules this year's IIAC  :)

Perhaps this the year for Luther to surge to three wins.

Thanks to the few of you who keep this site alive.  I hope we might recruit more contributors once the FB season is closer .  We previously had an energetic fan-orientated dialog going.  Cen, warts, debut Loras, Simpson , etc.  where is Neb W?

So.....what's are the number of new recruits for each team?  Iowa demographics are down this year.
What does that mean for IIAC ?

Luther,s Norse are #5 in the NFCA rankings.....22-2.  Lost one to Trine no. 4.

Doolittle.....Coe did not just get eleminated ......they embarrassed the IIAC.  On the other hand, the IIAC is a mediocre football conference so we can,t expect more.

I know it is Simpson week and it would normally call for jokes and I know there really are no Simpson folks on here this year, at least not as posters.  Just the same, my condolences to the family and friends of the two Des Moines police officers ambushed in their cars while on duty in the early hours of Wednesday morning.  These two both happened to be Simpson graduates.  My niece, a Central grad, and her husband are both police officers in Des Moines also.  It was stressful waking up to that news and not knowing if they were okay.  I don't understand this kind of senseless killing and hope the guy they arrested does not get off on a mental illness defense.

Simpson, on this issue we stand with you.  Respect and honor to these two Simpson grads that gave their life for the desire to protect us all.

+ K.  With you on that!

looks like the Coe - Central is the game of the week.  Coe looks like a winner.  Have to pick soon.

Nice talking to y'all.

Tuned into Luther a little.  They look like Cornell when Rams went 0-22.
Can,t change to Dubuque colors and expect to play like UD.  Takes more of something.

Living up here in NE Iowa has been pretty rough this past month with all of the flooding.  The Upper Iowa River won't be cresting until Saturday, so who knows what Luther/Decorah will look like come game time.  Luther isn't the most progressive in terms of their athletic expenditures, so I doubt a new field will be coming any time soon...

Luther's football field is not flooded by the river but becomes wet due to rain and poor drainage.  It was constructed 8-10 feet above the flood plain.  Rain and poor drainage is their problem.
Luther seems to invest athletic dollars in life-long sports, I.e. Swimming, softball, etc.rather than
Football.  They have built a state of the art swimming pool, new softball/baseball fields, running track , etc in the last year.

Rain this week in NE Iowa .  Perhaps that will prompt Luther to install field turf.  Game with Wartburg several years ago was played in a marsh !  ......ankle deep mud.

UD looks like a strong contender once again.

Are there any cross conference scrimmages this week?  Always interesting to see who chooses who for a preseason test.

2016 tourney is underway.  Luther ranked #5 battles St. Kates ranked about 20 in Decorah regional finals tomorrow.  Cold wind !  Good luck Norse !

The Coe vs BV score was astounding !  Coe won 107 to 95 !  Has to be a conference atleast !

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.  I,m at home with a great dinner coming.

Comment:   With an ACT acceptance rate of 19 compared to Coe and Luther at 26, Wartburg at 24,  we should expect Dubuque to dominate IIAC in all events for the next few years.

Go Spartens ,
