I mis-spoke earlier with regard to concussions, etc. I did not mean for what I said to be misinterpreted as a poke at Welch. Concussions are extremely serious and I apologize for coming across any other way.  :-[
Hi Momma---I sat next to you at the LaVerne game.  Nice to see you on the board!

I think the Welch thing has been beaten to death.  As a Cat fan--we have much more important things to think about.  Enough said.

Just curious and not trying to be funny...How do the DI and DII teams pass up so many of these great players such as the ones on Linfield?  Boheme seems to have the size and ability.. Over the last 30 years of watching so much high school football I've seen a lot less talented guys go to DI and DII schools on football scholarsips.

I agree.  And yes you do.  Hope you do well and the officiating is fair for all.

I'm not going to get anymore into the Welch Stats and all that crap.  But I will quickly standup and defend the concussion issue.  There is absolutely nothing that anyone should question in those regards.  A concussion is a very serious issue and should be addressed as so.  Good OL or not players from all teams end up with concussions.  Whether it was Welchs, his coaches, or his trainers decision not to play shouldn't be questioned either.
Thanks for the support on the concussion issue.  My question is...shouldn't Boheme be better at this stage of the game???  Welch should be proud of his accomplishments without an all star cast.  I wonder what it would look like if the roles were reversed.   As far as him transferring..then people would say he was looking for an all star cast to make him look better than he is...right??

Seriously??  Looking at the stats game by game I'm surprised you are even saying that...you just have to be on the winning team with an all star cast.  Congratulations Linfield for a great season.

I guess the 5 TDs vs Willamette (3 rush, 2 pass), the 5 TDs vs Whitworth (3 rush, 2 pass) or the 3 passing TDs vs PLU had zero to do with Boehme winning it back-to-back.  That's 13 TDs against the number 2-4 teams in the NWC...Welch only had 3 TDs vs those same teams.  Case closed.

WC11, it has been said before that it's a cold day in hell when Bearcats and Wildcats agree. Welch doesn't deserve to be on the same list as him, not even close. I'd almost go so far as to argue Welch being an honorable mention behind Rasmussen. Sure, Welch is fabulous as a player, but Rasmussen works his system very well and is an extremely accurate passer.

Bright future for Welch though. Don't grovel on the present, instead be happy that you'll have him for three more years, while Boehme is gone (thank god...)
Not on the same list?  Honorable Mention?  Really??? What stats are you looking at???

No one is trying to say Boheme shouldn't have won POY. I remember seeing earlier where there was a question in some of the poster's minds about it.  I don't choose NWC players of the week,so I guess others thought the freshman QB deserved it 3 consecutive weeks in a row. Nor do I choose who gets on the all conference team.  In my opinion...you seem to think that Linfield should stand alone on everything.  But....the stats week by week tell a different story.  Also, there is the fact that we have a freshman on a team that is rebuilding vs a senior with an all star cast.  If you think Boheme is so much better then why all the talk about the freshman QB.  Boheme should have won by a long shot.  CASE CLOSED

Really? Case closed? How can that be? If the red-shirt freshman QB Welch is so terrific where was he during the game v Linfield? Oh, yeah, he has a concussion... he may be a good QB but apparently his OL can't protect him well enough. Boheme has a terrific OL to protect him so he can make those amazing passes and plays... he is given all the time in the world, doesn't panic and is able to pull off some great things!
Where was he?  If you must be told when a player has suffers a concussion they can't play then so be it.  Didn't I say that L&C is rebuilding and that Linfield has an allstar cast?   Why aren't you addressing what I said about the stats?

All NWC team is here:  http://www.nwcsports.com/sports/fball/2010-11/news/allnwc and once again, if you didn't get a spot on this team, you probably did not play football in the NWC.....3 first team QBs????  C'mon....
And only one is the offensive POY. ::)
fixed

Does it matter?  Like I said he should be proud that he's getting your attention.

Sure is a lot attention being given to the FRESHMAN QB.  He should be proud that he has caught your attention.  SO WHAT IF HE PEED?  That's really not why you're constantly discussing him and we ALL KNOW IT.
