The part of the La Crosse situation that, to me raises the biggest red flag, is the involvement of athletic department personnel on the different scholarship committees. To me, that would have had to be covered in athletic administration 101. I don't care how few administrators are working in the athletic office. Between athletics and financial aid, someone had to know.

I couldn't agree more with your comments regarding Whitewater's defense and that being the key to them playing their best basketball of the year right now. Defense wins championships! Their unselfish play has made this team a lot of fun to watch this year.

I saw this on footballscoop.com. Not sure how accurate it is but congrats to coach Gehring if it is true. Midland University (NAIA - NE): We hear Wisconsin Whitewater quarterbacks coach Josh Gehring has accepted the head coaching position at Midland.
Good luck to Coach Gehring. Thanks for the time spent in Whitewater.

GOOD LUCK WARHAWKS!
Here's a little Gagliardi trivia: As most all on this board know, Michael Zweifel attended Whitewater High School. And many would remember that Justin Beaver attended Palmyra-Eagle High School, located just 7-8 miles down the road from Whitewater, a couple of years earlier. Both Justin and Michael played for the same head coach! Who is he (answer below)? The next question to pose then for discussion is, can any other high school football coach make the claim that he has coached two players of the year? Answer: Doug Parker, current principal at Whitewater High School.

This award also shows that not only does Coach Z know how to recruit and coach outstanding young men, he raises them, too! Congrats again to the whole Zwiefel family!
Spot on.

I think it is a great thing to see the Madison media staying involved this week. The Wisconsin State Journal has two articles today. One, highlighting Michael Z's Gagliardi win and the second about the Stagg and Matt Blanchard.

I have decided to post my blog/write-up/analysis of the game here......
UWW has an unfair advantage because they have over 10,000 students to choose from, and hold open try-outs at least three or four times a year.
UWW should move up to D-II AT LEAST, if not all the way up to D-IAA.
UWW uses unfair game tactics...their lineman are too big and athletic, and their skill people practice "trickery" against their opponents regularly.
Game prediction.......Mount wins by 10!![]()
I'm glad someone has finally that figured out

December 12, 2011, 10:54:44 AMNow, if only it was on a regular ESPN channel that everyone could get it!
If I heard correctly on the podcast warhawkguard, the Stagg Bowl was scheduled on ESPNU friday night, but has been moved to ESPN2. Opens it up to more households around the country. I'm hoping one of the sports steaming websites will now run it so I can watch, too. Saturday, one had the Mount game on, but didn't show the Warhawk game.

Has ESPN2 been confirmed? The NCAA site still lists ESPNU

WarhawkDad, that time would make more sense if the Mount/Wesley game starts at 1200 est. 3.5 hours between start times would seem about right.
Voice is reporting a 2:30 kickoff on his website.
