Thanks for the support on this one Cope_str8 I wish I could give you some kharma on this one.You were also right on Chismar, threw hard and fast first 5 inns then started changing speeds and mixing in nice breaking stuff, threw too well to take a loss. Also noticed N-Paltz coach wanted to win that one more than he let on, rumor was Chis was on an 80 pitch count, ended up close too or a little over 130.This could bite N-P later on if Chismars arm continues to be sore.

Questionable strike calling would be an understatement CSTATE lol,its really too bad the SUNYAC doesnt send reps out to watch some of these games more often,I feel it would improve the umping, which in watching the umping from a few different conferences the past several years the SUNYAC umps are definitly sub par compared to other conferences. For a conference that sports some of the most competitive teams top to bottom its a shame they have to put up with inferior umps that I wouldnt hire to ump a little league game. Now that i'm done with my rant----The SUNYAC is shaping up to come down to the wire on who's in and who.s out, have not seen a dominant team show thier hand yet.C-State showing why they are the class of the field, but also very beatable. Not the usual J Brown team this year,Have not seen B-Port play this year ,but looking forward to it.As for the rest of the field its up in the air,O-State shows some glimpses of what they can be,and P-Burg cant put it all together to shut the door on opponents.

Great weekend for O-State came in and played very well against a pesky N-Paltz.Too bad the sweep was shut down by the home plate ump in the 7th inn of todays second game,I have NEVER seen an umpire so blatently screw a team as this guy did.If the SUNYAC doesnt step in and somehow remove this so called ump from doing games I feel sorry for any team that has this jerk behind the plate.I take nothing away from the New Paltz players or coaches ,but this ump was almost arrogant in the way he screwed O-State out of the sweep.Disgruntled? you bet I am, this was to the point of down right cheating.Good luck too any team that has to play with this JACK-ASS on the field.

Dont know about the "expierienced" players O-State lost, alot of the errors last year were on 2 of the 3 replaced players.I just feel you cant count them out ,I think they have something to prove this year and that can make for a dangerous opponent if they are taken for granted by teams in conference.Good luck to all the SUNYAC teams!Think it will be a great year for the conference.

Thanks for the insight on the NWC guys, always nice to get an educated guess from the experts lol.I hope your guys weather turns out to be as nice as it has been in the Northeast this year, even though i did just get back from watching the SUNYAC games in Florida this week.Stop in the SUNYAC conference sometime and chat for awhile.Good luck to all the teams.

Oneonta showing some spark for a team that lost thier longtime coach. Not missing the 3 players that quit, and the replacements have more than made up for thier loss.Dont see O-State finishing behind B-Port or New Paltz, also dont see them taking 2 out of 3 from C-State.O-State should finish 2nd behind Cortland, this weekends games against Fredonia should shed some light on the SUNYAC ,weather permitting.O-State has some talented young pitchers and SUNYAC player of the year Knack and catcher Wells hitting the ball very well.Watched thier middle infield and was impressed with how cohesive they were on double plays. After Wells showed J Brown last year he could throw out even the speedy M June (twice in one conference game)should be interesting to see how that matchup works out this year.I still feel Cortland has the upperhand with talent ,but it should make for an interesting SUNYAC conference this year.Lets hear from your guys opinions on this.

I was right, O-State not only hired a never was they hired a never will will be!!Great job by the AD. Way to kill a program.I hope AD staff at O-State gets it shoved down thier throats by the team.By the way the job was offered to an assistant coach from years past and he said he would only coach for Ferchen,KUDOS to him,I'm glad to see there is still some loyalty to the coach that took O-state to the point they are at.

Well,Oneonta States AD finally got her wish,Coach Ferchen has been let go.Too bad the AD let her personal feelings get in the way of what was best for the players, students and fans of O-State.I hope the players win despite the inept actions of an over-payed under achieving AD.What kind of coach is she planning on finding a month before the season?A has been or a never was?or a never will be.Ms.R I hope you are happy with your decision as I will continue to pull for our boys to win and I hope when they do they throw it in your face. You are a disgrace to the University and the entire SUNYAC and I hope you realize the butts you kick on your way up might be the same butts you have to kiss on your way down.

fotoguy, dont look at Mitchells stats unless you are gonna dig deeper than the numbers.Mitchell won the WEAKEST conference in the nation oh boy !Are they going to regionals while my team is already home ? Yep .Cortland could pitch their bullpen by commitee and beat Mitchell. They were taken down to the wire in championship by Southern Vermont. As for Cortland being down this year, what is an off year for C-Land?OMG Mitchell is the number one hitting team according to D3 boards YAHOO!!Mitchell doesnt have a starter on their team that could play for J Brown at C-Land.I watched the NECC for their first 2 years and it is a terrible conference, and it didnt get any better just because it now has an AQ.

Rob- good point on having a pitcher come back later in tourney.Ratliff and C-lands bats could make short work of Mitchell and thus leave him fresh for a later game.I kinda like your thinking on this one.

Dont think their is anyway Cortland throws Ratliff against Mitchell. It would be a complete waste of a good arm.I have said before no-one in the NECC would finish higher than last in the SUNYAC or a GOOD New England conference. The NECC is made up of teams that were either dropped from their old conferences or were independants because nobody wanted them.

I would like to see more teams take buses and play thier way down south and back north again, think this helps bring teams together and a way to get in alot of games but not play 10 in 9 days like so many teams do.I feel this is too tough on arms and attitudes this early in season.Just my opinion, for what its worth.
