Pointers win 77-70 over Oshkosh.  They shot really well in the first half and made enough shots and  free throws to hang on. Point had a 15 point lead with 13 minutes left; Oshkosh got it down to 5 twice, but could get no closer.

I have not been to a lot of games this year, but I was there last night. Point built an 11 point lead in the first ten minutes. After that, Point missed 5 of 6 free throws, gave up a number of second chance buckets, and made only 2 field goals over a 7 minute stretch.

Point did not lead in the second half until there was just over a minute left.  It was a struggle.  I am guessing that if what Falcon was referring to.

Walnut and Bronze for the 4th time for the Pointers.  Congrats to Coach Semling and the team.

Amazing team effort by this Pointers squad.  No All-American candidates but they play really well together.  I am sure that I am not the only fan that did not see this coming.  This team was motivated by last years loss at home to Emory, and this group of seniors deserve a ton of credit.  Great job by Coach Semling.  40 more minutes to go.  BTW, the local high school team plays for a state championship tomorrow as well.

Yes and his brother is going to Ohio U.

Very few clean looks for either team.  Point was not hitting outside shots and ETBU had a couple of taller atheletic guys swatting inside shots and influencing others that they did not block.  Points defense was smothering.  ETBU did not get a shot off for the first four minutes of the second half.

Glad I am not a voter in the polls(Poster or otherwise).  This year would require almost as much of a time commitment as a fantasy baseball team.

Pointers won the game last night but Jordan Lutz went down with a left knee injury late in the first half.  It did not look good.  If anyone's hears what the extent of the injury is, please post.

Marian's crowd was 3 times the size of Central's, accounting for most of the difference.  A few people did attend high school games Saturday as well.  I am quessing those were paid attendance numbers (not counting the pep band or cheerleaders)because there was no way you fit it another 400 people for the Marian game.  Kudos to the Marian team and fans for their performance Friday, they easily could have pulled the upset.

Centre wins and York looks like they will finish off an easy win at Rhode Island College.

Stevens Point pulls out a 54 - 50 win at River Falls to clinch at least a share of the WIAC regular season title.
