MIAC transfer updates, confirmed.

Carleton adds inside muscle and scoring with the transfer of 6'6" Taylor Hanson (Minnehaha Academy) who played his FR year out in Connecticut.

St Olaf continues to get better and deeper with the transfer of 6'4" wing Josh Pratt (St. Anthony) who played his FR year at HU.

St Johns adds a athletic wing with the transfer of 6'4" Tim Markoe (Hill-Murray) who played his FR year at HU.

HU players Andy Voigt (Hipp's backup) and Jordan Schmidt (started FR & SO year) have transferred out of the MIAC.  I heard Jordan's calf/leg injury will prevent him from playing collegiate ball due to an infection he had this past year.  Jordan was a very good player at HU, it's too bad his career had to end this early.

Sorry for the ruffled feathers on the transfer subject, not my intention.  I have not gone back and checked old posts on this site, obviously I should - my fault.

I referenced Wohler because of the print he was receiving leading up to state.  One of the articles mentioned the good job he did at HU.  As to dis-liking Whitmore, thats far from the truth and the comment isn't called for.  I would say he's done a good job at HU making them a contender.  I've never said I dis-like the guy.

If this HU/transfer has been on this site for awhile, I'll scroll back and check the history.

Mr Drake - I could ramble on with long discertations like you have done over and over and over but I choose not too.

I responded to the previous post that was asking about transfers.  I've thrown this out there TWO times asking for feedback.  When I know for sure the players that are transferring, I will be happy to share the names.  All I'm doing is asking for any other transfer feedback or updates on other players.

I've heard from a couple people that Hamline will lose 4 - 5 players to transfer when the current school year ends.

Coach Wohler has done at Orono what he started doing at Hamline in a short amount of time - turn the program around.  It has to be exciting for him as a coach and to see his son excel the way he has.

On the subject of why D3 Nat'l Championship game wasn't broadcast - CBS Sports (channel 871? on comcast HD) was broadcasting live the NAIA D1 championship game last night.

Congratulations to St Thomas.  This group of seniors was a joy to watch over the years.  I didn't think they had the depth to win it all this  year but determination and GREAT COACHING go a long way.

It will be interesting to see/hear the "spin" coming from the Whitmore regime on why they're losing quality players there - past and present - during his tenure.

Rumor mill has 2-3 players leaving Hamline this spring, kids who contributed this year.  What's going on over there?

Carl Hipp was voted in to play in the NABC All-Star D3 game, congratulations to the Big Guy!  Carl is very well deserving of this award.  Nice work Carl!
