Totally agree.
Lets just hope that the QB situation gets solved!

Matt Naton has one more year left and he should be fine.  He has played well when called upon. I don't know if they have a young guy in the fold, if not really need to recruit a QB and LB's.

I just have a feeling the Cards are gonna shock the D3 world today....just a feeling.

The Cardinals played John Carroll on a snow covered field, practiced all week in the first snow storm of the season up here and played Hobart in 30 degree temps with 15-20mph winds.  If the weather is poor this weekend I think it will favor Fisher.  They will  have 2 weeks of practicing and playing in worse weather than they will see in Texas.  The largest obstacle will be UMHB and that is enough.  The weather will not bother the Cards.

Thanks 91, that definitely needed clarifying.

There is absolutely nothing cold about 40 degrees unless its in July.

Shoveling the snow out of my driveway last week SUCKED.  Is about 40 outside now and I just took the dog for a walk in my T-shirt. The darn snow is still here though.

Friday night before the Hobart game the temp in Geneva was 11 degrees.  That's Cold!!  The temps your talking about are darn near tropical to us New Yorkers.

JCU could not handle field conditions.  Their receivers were not able to run routes or adjust and QB threw where they should have been on a dry day and they weren't there.
SJF had decent coverage all day, but the Blue Streaks were sooooo disappointing. Thought they could score after kickoff return that put them down 22-16, but int ended the threat.  JCU qb after great season looked pedestrian. forced passes into double and triple teams all day...
Better team, IMO didn't win, but the team that hung tough and handled adversity did. They were better today when it counted.
Congrats to Fisher.

How can a team from Ohio complain about weather conditions at home?  Maybe you should move the college to Southern California.

About as strongly as would be deemed appropriate for a public board -- this kind of post is infuriates me and strongly disagree with it.

The whole "they were a better team today" is the back handed compliment that smacks of -- we just can't believe we lost to you little people, and we're really better than you --- its the same kind of posts you see from MUC'ers often last 5 or so years when UWW beats them in the Stagg.

JCU had one cup of coffee over decade ago, and then has barely been a winning program since -- SJF is a better program and a better team than JCU.

Went back the last 1-5 is the playoff record of the last 5 times an OAC team that doesn't have Raiders on their helmets have fared. Getting steamed by a team in your conference annually doesn't make you a good program or better than others just for showing up.

SJF, the better team, the better program, won - Period.  Get over it, and start prepping for 2nd place in your conference again next year.

Wow you should stop trying to fit into your tight shorts. I have a lot of respect for SJF but wining the turnover battle 6 to 0 contributed greatly to the final score. Very easily on a clean field SJF could have gotten blown out. SJF did good in the nasty elements enjoy the results and try not to be so sensitive.

Congrats on beating JCU.  Starting to change my view of the national landscape as this is the second year the OAC runner up was predicted by the vast majority to go to the quarterfinals only to bow out in the first round.  Outside that top 3-5, the east isn't as bad as many of these provincial types desperately want to believe.  Nothing against SJF, but JCU just lost at home to a two loss pool C who's losses were to multi loss teams.  There's no amount of excuses or explanations that can cover that for some of these "Midwest football is so superior" types.  Glad you guys could deliver that message.

Should be a good game next week, but will be one dimensional w Conlan out and 1, possibly two OL out.

I don't post on here much because there are far more knowledgeable D3 fans than I.  But I do feel confident in saying that Salisbury and Ithaca are much better teams than any team Hobart has faced from the Liberty League.  There is no comparison between the E8 and LL.  Hobart is a strong program but face very little competition within their own league.  IMHO I don't believe Hobart goes unbeaten in the E8. I also believe SJF, Ithaca, Alfred, Salisbury and Buff State are stronger than most if not all the teams in the LL outside of Hobart.     Good Luck.

Figured Id put it out there....
ECACs it is!

Considering that is almost a lock, should Fisher just start Matt Naton from here on out? I am not arguing that one good game should get him to start, but if the goal was to get into the NCAA this year, and it isn't going to happen, why not get a jump on next year?

Fenti still has one more year of eligibility.

I would think that a team that schedules a difficult nonconference schedule would get the nod over a team that schedules 3 weak teams they are expected to throttle.  Fisher at least scheduled the possibility of being beaten.  It really doesnt matter, like I have seen written on here before, "the only poll that matters is the final poll".

Congrats on IC TE Jared Prugar on being named to the Team of the Week!

TE Jared Prugar, Sr., Ithaca
Prugra had six catches for 165 yards in Ithaca's 17-3 win against Union, including a 56-yard catch that set up a touchdown two days later.

Pep is just wondering why it took a couple days before the Bombers finally punched it in.  ;)

On Saxon Warriors!

WR Kevin Francis- SJFC,   made the Team of the Week for his performance week 2 against W&J.

WR Kevin Francis, Sr., St. John Fisher
Francis caught six balls for 174 yards and two touchdowns including an 87 yard reception on Fisher's first play of the game in a 42-21 win against Washington and Jefferson.

Thank you for the explanation Rev.  I obviously don't have a clue how to use the quote function either.  I came to the conclusion awhile ago that most posters on this site are far more linguistically adept than I am.  Probably why I build houses for a living, the vocabulary heard on most of my jobsites is definitely not acceptable on these boards.

Karma sniper in full out douche mode...

Like clockwork losing K every 24 hours...

I just noticed a new way of reckoning karma. Now we can see our + and -

I have no idea how to give or take Karma, never did understand or worry about it.

That is kind of awesome...

MY beloved BENGALS are now 2-0 and solidly in 4th place in the East region Poll. Not too much to complain about. Especially after the mistake filled game they played vs. Brockport. I counted 6 penalties in less than 1 quarter. If we can't fix that before this coming Saturday, vs. Wisconsin-Whitewater, then you can chalk up our first loss. We must play "nearly" error free football. If so, then the future looks bright.

Sidenote...Brockports Stoldt will be the best Q.B. Buff State faces this year! A few drops kept him from 1 HELL of a game!!

You might want to wait and play against Tyler Fenti from SJFC.   Stats:  37comp / 50 attempts,  6 TDs, 0 Ints and 686 yds.  Ranked 3rd in the Nation in passing efficiency.  He set the single game passing record for yardage(453yds)  vs W&J.  Fisher has had some very good QBs so breaking a passing record is definitely news.  I hope he can keep it up.
