The guy you're thinking of is Nate Leverence, who played for Lawrence in the late 1990s, early 2000s. Leverence was a two-time all-conference guy but never a Player of the Year. You have him confused with three-time all-conference player Adam LaVoy, who was Player of the Year for the 1999-2000 season.

In response to your discussion from a while back about when the last time Lawrence hosted a track meet, it was 2003. Lawrence resurfaced the track at Whiting Field in the summer of 2010 and we are exploring our options for hosting a meet in the spring of 2012.
