ODAC goes 5-2 yesterday. Wins for Guilford, Ferrum, Roanoke, EMU, and H-SC. Losses for W&L and Bridgewater.

Noticed in the Royals game, Aviwe Mahlong went off for 22 points including 6-9 three pointers.  He was a star on Eastern Mennonite High Schools team that made deep runs in the state playoffs in the two years the South African was in Harrisonburg.  Was on a full ride to DII Millersville last season, but no record of him having played.  Not sure what brings him back to the Valley, but seems like he will be a part of EMUs efforts for sure

EMU falls to Radford in their opener 83-60.  You can see stats here https://radfordathletics.com/sidearmstats/mbball/media

I saw the stats, but how did EMU look? Was it close at all?

Not sure.  I saw Radford scored about the same against E&H but the Wasps scored 12 more against Radford.   EMU also fell to Southern VA by three.  Looks like newcomer Michael Watlington, 6-6 FY player from Newport News had a pretty good game there with 13 points.

James Madison University 80,Eastern Mennonite 65 Final

Wow that's a lot closer than I expected.  Read the recap on the EMU website, they gave JMU a decent fight.

Good to hear.  Looks like Transfer Josh Whelan will be a good help rebounding! https://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2019-20/releases/20191102zl7ikq

Here is the EMU Preliminary Roster.  https://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2019-20/roster
Newbies that looked promising from the snooping I did below
Deion Harwood from Goochland Career totals 1,256 points and 572 rebounds and made 80 percent of his free throws.
Alijah Ellis from the Fork Union Military Academy Post-Grad Team
Devin Mosley from Culpeper.  Last year averages 20 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals per game.
6'7" Josh Whelan from Fort Defiance looks to add height.
Good luck Runnin' Royals
