I think it is part of the atmosphere, having College students let the opposing team know what they think, "heckling."
As for adults-non-college students-alumni "heckling" college players-not so much, especially DIII.
This keeps getting better and better.  The standing room underneath the veranda is not reserved for adults-non-college students-alumni as you put it. The standing room is open and free for anyone to stand and to "heckle" opposing players or for opposing fans to cheer for their own team.  You can't judge the basis of something off of some misinterpeted post that already was proved to be false.  There could have been anyone standing there, and there was quite a variety of people standing there.
A note on the Augsburg game for upcoming Tommie fans, there are a slated number of tickets available for St. Thomas.  It should be a good one, it will be interesting to see how both teams game plan.

Unless faunch and ROR were hearing things that weren't said, someone around you was saying stuff to the SJU players, and unless you're hard of hearing, you would have heard it, too.

Says the guy who wasn't there. Why don't you let ROR and Faunch be the ones to challenge him, if anyone? Faunch has already removed his original post, so perhaps that's a cue as to what an appropriate response might be here.

Hey, Pat, thanks for the help.  Obviously, if I had been "there" under the new flying wing stands I could say so myself.  I'm not challenging PrideandPassion on what he said, but he only addressed part of it (and really, the issue has never been who).  It hardly seems unfair to inquire; he was there and can answer for himself, though anyone who was there can certainly answer as well.  Faunch has apologized for calling out specific people wrongfully, but so far as I can tell he hasn't said nothing was said.  If that's the case, though, he or ROR can say so, and that will clear this up.  And I was "there" at the game.  Indeed, I have some lovely pictures of the new stands and the crowd underneath.
First of all I want to thank Faunch for his apology it was very sincere and appreciated.
@Tmerton
This is getting quite humorous at this point.  Do you want me to say that at the Tommie/Johnnie rivalry game, or at any game in any sport for that matter there is not "heckling" of the opposing team? Of course there is, it's an athletic event and anywhere you go there will be fans that yell at games.  Coming from a player's standpoint, the yelling is embraced and expected especially at the collegiate level.  You are taught to be prepared for the yelling and the vulgar comments.  Also on that note as a player (i can't speak for everyone) heckling from opposing fans helped fuel me and push myself to play better.  If you want me to go into detail about how I was treated by fans coming out of the locker room at St. John's I will, but that is not relevant.  I am glad you have pictures of the fans, because pictures do not indicate audio as you should know.  I do not mean to come at you here, just thought this would help clear things up.

@Faunch
I can not express how disrespected I am by your comments.  How dare you make false accusations of myself and my teammates.  You are not only disrespecting me but my family and my program.  I was at the game with my father and Great Uncle, who by the way is a big time Johnnie (as were a lot of my family members) and quite the baseball player in his day (they called Hank Aaron up in the minors instead of him).  I am sure you can ask either of them how I conducted myself at the game if you want some truth.  If you have ever met me or know anything about me or the program that I came from, you would know that what you said could not be true. You were not only giving a misrepresentation of myself but my family, friends, and school. In our program we are taught to hold each other to a higher standard, not to belittle opponents. As for Greg Morse, probably the nicest most innocent kid that you could ever meet and would never conduct himself in the manner that you said. Please let's get the facts straight and refrain from making accusations that have no grounds.    As per your "classless" comments, that now speaks for itself.

@Retired Old Rat, I indeed remember BOTH of our conversations.  The first conversation entailed you accusing me the same as Faunch, and I was not pleased by your false assumptions so I apologize for how I reacted.  Per our second conversation I indeed apologized to you for the confusion, like you said.

This is indeed a crazy season so far, I look forward to seeing how the rest of the games play out.  You have got to love MIAC football, and that's what these boards should be about.
