You understand that in order to stop that dynamic three man rush the solute O just felt they HAD to hold, right?

Holding could be called on every play in reality.  This one just didn't seem like the right call obviously as a CLU fan.  There were many other big plays that changed the game but this was clearly a big call, by the reaction of the CLU staff and players it seemed to be a Phantom call.  The ref had his head turned the other way and then just casually threw the flag out.  Tough call to swallow as a Kingsmen.

Best of luck though, represent the west well!

Two SCIAC losses in the 1st round doesn't help in getting more then one team selected in the future... Good effort but tough to go out like that on a blocked kick.

3 missed field goals and one shoelace tackle on Mosier's long run to start the second half made all the difference.

I would say the Field Judge deciding to casually throw some laundry for a mysterious holding call when CLU was rolling and would have been set up on the 5 yard line was a big play as well.  Possible win and at least a better shot at a fg.  Talking to several fans who were their the CLU staff and offensive line were in disbelief about the call.  All in all it doesn't come down to just that call but that was one I thought should be thrown in as a big play.

Great season to CLU and its seniors!!! As many Cat fans are claiming, CLU probably deserved a little better draw this year, however we know we would end up there at some point.

Watching the Redlands game today as well it appeared they were way outmatched by the run game of UMHB.  Would have been fun to see the first round match up of CLU and Redlands.  Probably be along time before both teams make it again...if ever.

Best of luck to the Cats

My Call is Linfield winning by 4

Linfield 28
clu       24

Phone it in boys

Catdome

What happened to all that extreme confidence? CLU 31, linfeild 27

Go Lu!

Only a win by four with all that confidence out of the Linfielders....I say CLU 34, Linfield 17. CLU will finally fly home with a smile after knocking out Linfield in the first round!

Go LU!!!

Let's hope our Bulldogs get the playoff spot they deserve. The West Region deserves more respect. I'm hoping for a Redlands v Cal Lutheran rematch!

I would love to see this but I don't know if Redlands did enough against the lower level teams in the sciac to deserve a spot.  close games with oxy and claremont as well as a nail bitter with chapman could hurt (all teams CLU destroyed).  Only a few minutes away!  Good Luck puppies...feels good to know you will see your name....

CLU another dominate performance after a slow start.  Seem to have things rolling pretty good going into the end of the season and the playoffs.  Just curious if anyone heard the live broadcast of the chapman clu game.  Never heard announcers rag on their own team so hard.  Pretty comical to say the least.  :)

How'd that Rogers fellow do?
I think the passing game had the day off (only 14 attempts).  On the other hands, Oxy threw the ball over 70 times in their near upset of Redlands!

I watched the game and it really was never in question and no reason to throw the ball.  Moshier played less than a half and the 2's,3's and 4's got a lot of time.  I really felt kind of bad for P-P and am so confused by the SCIAC.

Cal Lu needs a miracle to come back on Redlands, Oxy loses to La Verne, Redlands needs a hail mary to beat CMS, Whittier drops one to CMS by 1, Oxy misses the 2-point conversion that would have tied the game with Redlands.......so many crazy games and nobody seems to know what will happen each week.

With all this being said the true dominant team of the SCIAC will prove its worthy of a top ten national ranking by dismantling the Mudd-Scripps on Homecoming.  Claremont has 4 players with over 275 yards rushing including Quaterback Peter Kimmey.  I will say that their 224 average rushing yard per game will be kept under 150 and CLU will dominate the game.  Their offense will roll all over Claremont with long strikes to Rodgers and a three TD first half from Mosier.  Claremont may score a few garbage points at the end but it will be another big day for CLU on homecoming.
45-10 CLU  :)

While reviewing the Redlands/Pomona stats, I noticed Pomona's Luke Sweeney had no stats. Does anyone know the reason?

The Redlands announcers were talking about it. He was suited up on the sideline and looked ready to play. Not sure if he was dinged up or has an injury. He has been getting close to 40 carries a game coming into the Redlands game. They are going to need him healthy the rest of the season to have any chance of getting some wins so it would not surprise me if they kept him out last night as a precaution.

So does this mean Sweeney won't play against CLU or Claremont either?     You gotta think he is going to play every game unless he was injured.
