Not much activity on this board!  Disappointing but I will ask anyway...Who is the preseason favorite?  Asking before the preseason rankings come out tomorrow...

Also:  How have teams faired in their scrimmages?  Why does the Centennial Conference only allow its teams one scrimmage when everyone else gets two?

Kate:  How did the Del Val do in there scrimmage this past Friday night?  Did you hear anything?

Cancun over the Sweet 16????  How does one do that?  Teammate?  I think not.  Wonder where her parents were in this decision.  How does she come back to school and look her teammates in the eye?  Nice life lesson here...hope one day she is not my doctor or lawyer or teaching my kids; someone I need to depend on to be there for me.  She has shown that her interests are the most important thing in her life.  Unbelievable!  Good luck to Kings!  Maybe they will be better off in the long run.

Congratulations to Alex Chili of Muhlenberg, a finalist for the Josten's Trophy, as well as her classmate Spencer Liddic, also receiving the same honor.  How were these two individuals not voted as POY in the conference, not just this year, but any year in their 4 year careers?  Just asking...

Also good luck to the Muhlenberg women's team as they enter the NCAA tournament for the 5th year in a row.

Good luck to Johns Hopkins as well.  Hope both teams do the conference proud.

No team can look past any opponent BUT if Muhlenberg can take care of business vs. Gettysburg on Saturday and Hopkins can continue their winning ways at Haverford (a revenge game) then that sets up a great Monday night in Allentown with the Blue Jays visiting the Mules with first place in the conference on the line.  Should be a great night to watch two outstanding teams.

Reserved Seat...not sure how much you've seen Chili play but she actually played one of her best all around games last night.  Yes, the F&M defense "held" her to 14 points, 4 below her average, but she created numerous scoring opportunities for her teammates by her passing, rebounding, and her defensive play.  I would hope the league appreciates what a special player she is...not just a scorer.

I do agree the Muhlenberg's depth got the best of the Dips last night who indeed did play a very good game.

Thanks kate!  I have enjoyed reading some of your posts and you seem to always be a thoughtful and knowledgable basketball fan.  Now if we could just stir up some more conversation on this site...

I feel some conern for the ladies at Bryn Mawr but you can't ask the rest of the league to feel sorry for them or play "differently" when you face them.  Maybe it will take more beatings like the 92-39 loss to F&M or the 78-13 loss to Gettysburg or last nights loss of 115-43 to Muhlenberg to "help" the administration to see the light.  Personally if I were them I would be playing an independent schedule...no shame in that!

New to this board and I am not sure I will get any conversation going or not but thought I would try...Question:  Should Bryn Mawr be a member of the Centennial Conference, at least as far as basketball is concerned?  Should they being playing an independent schedule that would allow them some level of success?  How fair is it to the other 10 teams in the league to have to play them twice a year?  Just curious...
