Rats with 2 players on the AFCA All-American team, Pacific with 1, and the 'Cats get blanked.

Sparks, Rybar, and Fraizer-Dow are all All-American talents but that's the way it can go.  At least Linfield is still playing.
A travesty but Im sure they are happy to still be playing like you said.

Bring the A game anything else will be a downer. This is on par with any championship team. All us Townies agree.

Cats advance nothing to see here folks.

I rest my case.

Quote from: D O.C. on November 18, 2024, 03:55:42 PMOH YEAH THE 1974 NAIA FILM FLIM FLAM GAME WHERE TLU SENT NOTHING ABOUT THEIR WISHBONE OFFENSE THAT RAN ALL OVER US AND LED TO RULES CHANGES ON FILM EXCHANGE.
What did TLU do - send film from a previous season? And what rule changes did it bring about?
It was actually St Johns famous coach who the rule change was named for. The rule is the last 3 current games must be sent to the opposing team I believe.

Quote from: wildcat11 on November 16, 2024, 06:00:18 PMThat was a butt whipping put on by the 'Cats today. Nice work!
Last year I thought the better team let one get away. This year the better team put their foot down and didn't let up. All is good again in the NWC

Quote from: gren on November 13, 2024, 11:20:23 AMHow will a 40 team playoff bracket look?  Will 8 teams have to playin to get a 32 team bracket?

Sixteen have to play in the first round in order for there to be eight advancing to the second round, but yes.
So will all automatics get a bye in the first round or will it go on regional ranking?

Quote from: wildcat11 on November 04, 2024, 02:48:50 PMSuper impressed with the 'Cats this Saturday. Dismantled Pacific in about every way possible. This team is starting to peak.  The only thing that has made me *slightly* nervous is giving up a few deep passing plays the past few weeks.
Agreed. Its nice to have defensive backs that can help with the run. But with Linfields LB's I think more focus on pass duties would be nice.

IMO Cats are a more focused and tuned in group this time of year than last. Not saying they were not focused last year just seem to be improving on both sides of the ball every game this year. I might be wrong my wife tells me I am all the time.

Not a fan of the QB rotation system. I have yet to see it work efficientlyanywhere. IMO.

I suspect that they were only resting Eaton to give him time to be ready to play this weekend. it won't surprise me if they start McNabb and replace him halfway through the first quarter.
Stop by the tailgate Saturday and I will fill you in on the game plan.

Should be a good one on the 11th. The better team will win and hopefully be hosting a playoff game at Maxwell Field.

Has anyone seen or heard from Rick, aka the (former) mayor of McMinnville? He used to sit at the top of section A for all the Linfield home games, but I haven't seen him this year.
Rick is having health issues and not fairing to well.
