Sorry for just getting back on here, haven't had much info until now. Mac had their annual scrimmage last night and from what I heard, Burton did not play because of a severe ankle sprain. I'm assuming he wont be able to play on Tuesday against SIUE. Hopefully Mac can compete more than Greenville did when they went there a couple days ago. They can't go there and chuck up 3's and expect it to be close. Gotta get the ball inside to get better looks than what Greenville got. I'm excited that the season is finally approaching!

Welcome to a new season! Practice started yesterday and I can't wait for the games to begin! I joined up late on here last year, but this year I plan to be on board here for the whole season. I want to start my giving my preseason top 4:

1. Spaulding- Big return of McAfee after a year of sitting out...He's that good folks
2. Mac- A lot of veterans return from a heartbreaking loss in the championship a year ago (Burton, Slagle, Busch, Best, Bishop, Whitlock, and Guthrie)
3. Eureka- Same story as Mac, returning a lot of guys from last year.(Fritsch, Lessen, Kindred)
4. Webster- No surprise here, always have to include these guys.

Wow am I glad I went to the Eureka Mac game tonight! Hard fought by both teams the whole night, and yes Eureka played their starters throughout the whole game. The cheering section at Mac is definitely a home court advantage, they were loud the entire game! Eureka ends up going up by 6 at half on a deep 3 at the buzzard. But Mac comes out in the 2nd half full of energy. They started running a high-low game with Whitlock and Busch and it couldn't be stopped, as it produced open looks for everyone on the court. Now to the tournament,  I can't wait! Eureka vs Westminster then Mac vs Webster. Two games that are bound to be thrillers! Thursday needs to get here already!

What an exciting end to the regular season tonight at Mac! Will Eureka play their starters there normal minutes or will they rest them? Either way, Macs gotta play better if they expect to make the tournament. I'm gonna head to Jacksonville tonight to watch the game if I get off work in time, and if I do I will post scores. I think Mac pulls a win out tonight,  then the field for the tournament to be set! Can't wait to see what happens!

I'm sorry for not getting on here in awhile, been busy at work. It is really getting exciting to end the regular season! Could favor any team! Tonight there are two big games with Greenville at Webster. I look for Webster to play better than they have and get a win against a red hot Greenville team. The other game tonight being Westminster at Mac. I think this is going to be a really exciting game, but I'm going to have to go with Mac getting the edge because of the home court. Look forward to seeing the results and the rest of the season!

I don't know how you think Mac's lost last night was worse than expected, they played a d2 school and were down 4-8 points the whole game until a minute left...Dylan Burton was suspended 2 games after the fontbonne game for getting disqualified for an altercation. He will be back for the Blackburn game...

Huge win for Mac tonight in a barnburner at Eureka...total team effort all the way through. They now play Fontbonne at home Saturday, after getting upset at Fontbonne. I expect them to take care of business this time around, Creal will make sure of that!

Last night was exciting to say the least! Webster survives a scare at Greenville which could of brought the standings even tighter, but instead win by 1 and hold a 2 game lead. Nobody thought Mac would go to Fulton and get the win, but they come out in the 2nd half and just ran away with it in the last 10 minutes. Big win for them as they stay 3 games back and move up to 3rd in the standings.
Projections for this weekend...
Mac over Blackburn, but don't be surprised if it is a barnburner, last year it went into double OT. They are also celebrating 100 years of basketball at Blackburn so it could be a tough environment for Mac but they should pull it out
Webster over Fontboone, too much for them to handle
Spalding over Greenville, after the game Greenville just had and now the trip down there, I just don't see it happening...
Eureka over Prin...

Exactly, that team is not a 3 point shooting team and that is how they lose games. They forget about all of their size, which could dominate this conference and resort to shooting from deep. Better figure that out soon or they wont be having too much success...

Sorry for the late response, but first I would like to say I agree about Webster still having all those away games, certaintly not locked up anything yet. Regarding the Mac game, Dylan Burton did not play because he scratched his eye by leaving his contact in while sleeping the night before. Regarding the game, rebounds and tecnical fouls were the difference. Creal recieved one in a critical time in the game and it changed the whole game and Spalding never looked back. Maybe Creal should consider going with a bigger lineup so they can use their size more. (burton 6'4, Slagle 6'6, Best 6'4, Busch 6'7, Whitlock 6'8) and just pound the ball inside to both bigs.

Hello to all, I decided to join this board in hope to get more discussion for the conference. On todays games, I look for Mac to bounce back today with a win, Spalding has been doing a lot of travel so Mac should bounce on them early and often. I believe they have the talent to be the top team in the conference, they just need to start using their size more.
