Pretty cool stuff here for the NCAC.

Hundred of fans, family members, and loyal patrons descended on the campus of Florida International University to see former NFL Coach Mike Stock's Red Nation team take on current Lehigh Valley Steelhawks head coach Chris Thompson battle it out in the 4th Annual National Bowl Game. The game was played at Alfosno Field at FIU Stadium in Miami, FL seeing many friends of the program headed to South Beach for sun, dinner, and shopping. Meanwhile, the 100 players participating in the game were there for glory. Glorious this day was as 66 total points were scored as the Red beat the Blue 40-26 in a shootout that saw the best hitting, running, and passing see in the National Bowl series. National Bowl founder said "it was the most talented group we have had yet and we are expecting to see alot of these guys in NFL and CFL camps." Some know stars were honored such as NE-10 Conference Player of the Year QB Joe Clancy while new ones were born when Overall Game MVP QB Mason Espinosa of Ohio Wesleyan stole the show. Scouts from 10 NFL teams were on hand including several CFL and arena league scouts. If you did not get a chance to see the game live it will be shown on replay soon on the Florida Sports Network's website or on the National Bowl presented by East Preps Youtube channel here:  http://www.youtube.com/user/eastpreps   We suggest next time you make the trip to see the best players you've never seen!

Making a change at Wooster won't result in an immediate change in their record. As much as everybody downs OWU's previous coach, the team was stacked with talented, skilled players with game experience. Wooster lacks the talent and it would take two good recruiting classes to turn things around. The word I got was that the aid package they used to get over other NCAC schools has left the building.

(OWU was still able to attain all-conference players with the same disadvantages over the past few years.)

While we're all trying to figure out who's getting in after tomorrow I would like to congratulate some seniors around the league on a great career. Over the past 4 years(some 5) I've been lucky enough to get to know all these excellent men.

Girard Ogletree and Jordan McIntyre.

Sam Fiorini (H.S. teammate of Huddleston)

Dan Shannon and Brett Williams

Mr. Chase Belton (one of my favorites next to Huff)

Tyler Sheetz, Tyler Swary, James Huddleston.

It's been a pleasure to watch these men lead and compete. They will all leave a lasting impact on their programs.

We need more variety in the pass game. The bash d had adjusted well and is sitting on the short stuff. Got to come out bombs away to try and get one on the board.

Our D will come out stronger in the 2nd half.

You couldn't ask for a better game than this.

The Qb slept great last night. He's expected to be in this position from the day he arrived on campus.

It could be a long drive back to c-ville if the OWU front 7 comes to play and stops the run. (we know Huddleston will)

It'll be a great atmosphere. Great day to be a Bishop.

You're right it's Hiram. Oh and it's 7-7.

Well our offense hasn't come out to play. 3 fumbles w/ 2 lost and one dropped TD pass. Thank you defense and James Huddleston.

Bishops are playing well. This is not a very good Case team this year.

The OWU announcer has put me to sleep...14-7 at the half...Bishops

That's what happens when you don't hire a real announcer......Spiccoli is right.

Bishops D playing well in key situations....would like to see the O attack down the field.

For the Bash guys:

Darryl Kennon (6'3", 245 lb) has been signed by the AFC Show in Norway.

He graduated from Wabash College (NCAA Div III). He had an outstanding career in Wabash. He was a consistent all star throughout his four seasons and was named the defensive player of the year in the NCAC (North Coast Athletic Conference in 2008 and first team All American the same season. He earned top accolades from his coaches his entire career.

Espinosa hit one......one score each.

This guy has some lofty goals. Watch out NCAC.

OWU vs Otterbein scrimmage is pretty even so far. Bishops down one score. Working on getting the details now.

Thanks lefty. Look forward to seeing the Bishops have a great year.

Heard some good things out of the Bishops camp today. Even though the scheme is different the Off. skill guys have some experience together. Coach D will always have something on defense to give the big boys trouble

With an improved record there are two players to consider in the player of the year category on both sides of the ball.

James Huddleston - not many has been as dominant and consistent over a 3 yr period (anyone remember Cisco Clervoix #5). there are no doubts that it will continue.

Mason Espinosa - the best pure passer in the conference. he's primed and ready to step into the national spotlight.

Gentlemen, I've enjoyed following your insights on the league. I hope I can add the same and root for my bishops at the same time.

I'm anxious to see the staff Coach Watts puts together. With QB Espo projected as a 3rd yr starter and the Bishops in need
of a running game....the selection of the offensive coach will be key. I hope to be in Delaware in March to see a workout.
New era for Ohio Wesleyan.....Black n Gold Tigers join the conference.....new blood in Gambier....Exciting time for the NCAC.

The OC has been named who was a current staff member. The offensive unit and schemes will be the same. Looking for progress and should leave off where they ended up last season.

Spring will be tough with a number of guys running track this year.
