St. Leo beat the currently no. 5 Miami Hurricanes on Nov. 2 in an exhibition game.

Ryf is also an excellent defender.

Ryf got hurt in practice yesterday. Wearing a boot today.

To say Studer has provided a great spark is........  really?

No. 6 Washington University lost yesterday-Point should move into the 6 slot making wednesday's Point-Whitewater game no. 2 vs. no. 6. Pointers seem to play well at Whitewater...both teams undefeated....should be good.

Maybe Tony Bennett will succeed Bo someday at Wisconsin. Bo's gonna be 65 three weeks from now. Not sure he wants to be coaching at 70. That is if they can pry Tony away from the Virginia.

Lawrence came out hot. The Pointers hung in there until Lawrence went ice cold then took the game over and then hung on. Haas, Tillema and Heuer played well. Joe Ritchay had a couple of clutch plays when they needed it. Van Handel continues to rehab his knee-the picture he tweeted was Lawrence freshman Trace Sonnleitner(high school teammate at Appleton North). Giordana just didn't get the open looks. Lawrences' Davis De Wolfe was impressive but hampered by foul trouble. Next up-St. Olaf.

Hass had a great game.Richard had a nice second half. Demetrius Jackson showed some nice skills. Heuer obviously will do well this season. Zeimer and Thorne quit the team earlier. Studer struggled inside and only made one outside shot. Rob DeMyers flashed some skills. Van Handel has had a good fall but is rehabbing a sprained knee right now. Gio is working through a back ailment but will be there. Ty Tillema has an ankle he's working on but I'm sure he will be there when the bell rings. Overall a good amount of talent. Should be another good year though the conference of course is deep and good.

I see River Falls, Stout, Eau Claire, Whitewater and Oshkosh have released their 2012-2013 schedules. Oshkosh starts off their WIAC season at home against Stevens Point December 5 and plays a tourney in Las Vegas a couple weeks later. Pat Juckem has his first test in a November 7 exhibition in Madison against Wisconsin.

The Mark Miller-Sean McGann tweet thing was a fake. Sorry Baraboo soccer coach, you're not getting Sean McGann on your team.

Also the Kolf Fieldhouse at Oshkosh is currently being gutted and will get new bleachers and a new floor.

Heard Oshkosh was calling the finalists today and offering it to one of them.

Superior is bringing back some nice talent though they have to resolve their coaching situation. Stout came into Quandt last year and out-muscled and beat Point-who lost Ty Tillema in that game. Eau Claire had a really nice comeback year, lost their coach but picked up a real good one.River Falls lost a lot to graduation with Ollie White coming back.Oshkosh is in limbo looking for a coach and a win. Platteville loses Stangel but is young. LaCrosse made it to the WIAC semi's and play the Warhawks tough before bowing.

I've heard Kacala won't be coming back. In scrimmages Van Handel has been manhandling Patterson and Thorn and won't take a back seat to Studer. You have to remember he had a year of battling JB in practice-it would be a mistake to minimize him. Sem doesn't like putting a lot of burden on freshmen unless he has to-like last years 6-7-8 players. Like last year, one or two newbies that try out won't make it. Heuer is an outstanding addition. He'll help balance the transfers Whitewater brought in(e.g.Darnell Harris). He'll be close to home, too. Looks like  Whitewater and Point and then the rest this year.
