Congratulations from an Elmhurst fan to the Titans. I had the chance to confirm something after the win at Carthage. Ron Rose is a class act. He came over and spoke to me after the game.A total stranger to him I'm sure. While the guys were taking pictures on the court. The CCIW is blessed with some excellent coaching.

Last night I attended the Augustana vs Elmhurst basketball game in Rock Island. The Vikings played extremely well and won in convincing fashion. Dominating the statistics in every category, my hat goes off to them. I wish them well in the coming days. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. But doesn't the CCIW make announcements before all of the games about something called good sportsmanship? Last night a group of what appeared to be the Augustana swim team. Harassed the Bluejay team by stripping down to their speedo swim suits, while they were shooting free throws. It's clearly seen on the YouTube video of the second half. What was most disturbing was the fact that the Athletic Director did nothing about it. So much for showing any class at your venue.Yet you expect everyone else to behave properly. The entire section of bleachers should have been ejected from the game instantly. An embarrassing performance took off some of the glow of the basketball teams outstanding effort.

The Millikan,Elmhurst game was a close defensive battle. Lane Thomann was on fire most of the second half, until late when the Big blue put up some questionable shots to cost them the game. The video was pretty sketchy, not very clear. Shot from long range away.Elmhursts leaders Trelenberg,Blachut and Pearson took over with help from Jaydon Malichi and two rising freshmen Jack Cherry and Vinnie Adjahoungbeta.North Park invades  Faganal Hall on Wednesday.

You may want to double check my information, I've been told that Campbell isn't playing basketball for Carthage due to financial reasons. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The new assistant coach at Elmhurst is John Cheng. The former assistant is returning from Hillsdale college.

Peyton Wyatt has stepped down as Head Golf coach and top assistant coach for men's basketball at Elmhurst University. He will be greatly missed by all. See you at the games in the stands Peyton.

If Carthage continues their terrific season, like I think they will. How will the loss to Ripon and the win over Whitewater effect their playoff hopes for hosting?

Carthage was missing two players tonight and Elmhurst is definitely missing Neshat Dalipi. He was just starting to get rolling before his injury.

Elmhurst was impressive in their win over Carthage tonight. Terrific defensive effort all game long. Ocean Johnson came alive immediately and was backed up by John Ittounas and Tagen Pearson with double figures. Depth played a significant role in the victory. The best start in program history, big games coming up next week.

I wish Millikin would start games at 2:00 and 4:15. The travel would be easier.

I don't care where they are located. Concordia was impressive at Elmhurst. They shot the ball well, they attacked the basket really well. They are going to beat some good teams this season. Good luck to them. Elmhurst did start out a little rusty. But the veteran leadership came through in the end.

Correction, Quinn Pemberton did play in the scrimmage last night in Faganal Hall. He was number 24 and he looked very good. He is strong, can shoot , can drive to the hoop, and handles the ball well. Glad he is here and ready to go.

Miles Thomas is leaning toward Bluffton College and Wesley Hooker is headed to a school in Houston Texas. His sister lives there , so he will have family nearby. Good luck to both guys. They are great young men.

Rumor has it that Ocean Johnson and Jonathan Zapinski are returning for another season. Both Miles Thomas and Wes Hooker are looking elsewhere. Nothing is decided with the later two as of yet.

Seems logical to me that Ben Panner would at the very least. Get an interview for the Head Coach position , if Coach does move up to Athletic Director.
